That, and my dog wouldve ripped it to shreds by now

But then again, if a deer runs across the TV screen out of frame she runs outside to catch it. She's kind of a dumbass

Same here. I never hunted when I was younger all that much. I picked up a bow about 10 years ago and fell in love. The last 5 years I’ve tried to hunt a bunch. Last season was probably my best run. I’ve just never seen anything to shoot.

I’ve just made a deal with myself that I want my first archery kill before I go back to a gun. I haven’t carried a rifle into the woods in a decade.

This season has sucked. Between the drought and the fact that I've been working nights since the beginning of October I’ve been in the woods exactly once. Pretty much going to write off this year.

Took some getting used to. I'll have this one on other side of the room facing him soon. Will be bedded down similar as the other. Room Isa work in progress but hope to have most of it ready by the time he shows up.

Don’t think I ever put a tape on any of mine, but I’d be surprised if any hit 130.

I hunt for the experiences over the inches.

I hate this argument. I hunt for the meat, enjoyment, experience, challenge, and camaraderie. I also get loads of all of that when I happen upon a giant buck.

If that’s the case, then you should never pick up a rifle again and bowhunt only

I do as well but inches paint a picture of what it is. Some of my most memorable deer are not the biggest horn wise. But when a person says 130in ten pt or 150in 10pt I can visualize what that looks like.
And a 130in ten pt in SELA or sw miss is a way “bigger” more impressive kill of a deer than a 140in
10 pt in say Missouri or Kansas.
And if it’s a pen deer then it’s just a 140in cull.

in 2020 I killed a 156" 11pt in Illinois from the ground. The following January, same season, I killed a spike in Big Branch.

I was as shook up and excited when I killed that spike.

It's all about the situation
