I don’t really expect the committee to do the right thing. But if they do the right thing, to me it’s really simple. There are 3 undefeated P5 conference champions. They all should be in. The other 2 P5 conference champions are excellent and deserving teams with impressive 12-1 records. Only 1 can get in. They played a game early in the season and the road team wins by 10. Clearly that’s the tiebreaker. So it’s Mich-Wash-FSU-Texas. I believe UGA and Bama should be left out. Can’t wait for 12 teams next year.

It’s even more than that. Even with their injuries they still won against a conference rival and the conference championship. Committee cannot leave out an undefeated team just because they don’t think their QB is good enough even though the guy who backs him up just won a conference championship.
This is an easy decision. If anything, winning last night with a 3rd string just strengthens FSU’s case.

Folks need to realize that not only will Bama not be in the playoffs, it's Texas that will keep them out at #4, not FSU.

Based on what, they eye test? History which has no impact on this season? Clearly it’s not results on the field if this is the case. An undefeated G5 being left out is one thing, an undefeated P5 left out is unacceptable. Plus they beat TWO SEC teams and their conference beat the SEC h2h.
FSU is more than just Jordan Travis, they’re a team. They still have an elite defense that was the ONLY unit to shut down the #1 offense and Heisman winner. We won’t see an offense that good in the CFP no matter who’s in.
Florida State would have a much closer game against any CFP hopeful than people want to admit.

There's no compelling argument to keep them out. A 13-0 team who just beat a team by 10 they were favored to beat by only one, with a third string QB making only his first start, and with total defensive domination not seen since Saban's LSU Tigers upended Oklahoma in the 2004 Nokia Sugar Bowl.

They can’t keep an undefeated ACC champion out. It doesn’t matter who is hurt. You have to put Washington, Texas, Michigan and FSU in.

Their defense is as good as anyone in the country as we found out. Their offense has a month. FWIW, that freshman will likely be the starter after a month of practice. They had to hold him bc of not having a back up. Give him a month to work on chemistry and use his legs.

You see what stupidity looks like? That defense will NOT GET DOMINATED. They are as good or better than any other LSU faced all season. They are the only ones that got better in the fourth than the LsU offense.

its about a body of work and they just beat a good team to win their conference. 0 chance they are left out.
