But if you've been paying attention, the committee has been paving the way to leave FSU out. That term "deserving" has been brought up and it's already been said that language is nowhere to be found when selecting the 4 playoff teams. This has been anticipated by the committee.

Apparently some of you guys didn’t read the criteria that was set on picking the top 4. The first one being that they are not picking the 4 most deserving. They are picking the 4 best teams. FSU is not one of the 4 best teams without JT.
2nd, they said that they will consider coaches being suspended or players being hurt.
With that being said, I hope they go against what they say and they put FSU in cause I frickin hate Bama. But if they stick to what criteria they laid out, then I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if FSU is out.

Bull crap. Fla St won with a 3rd string QB. They deserve to be in and will be. Saban and smart will be begging and crying. 7 seed should never jump over a power 5 unbeaten

Exactly - why not leave Washington out, too, then? I believe the SEC has the best teams. BUT, if you can’t get into a playoff by going undefeated and winning your conference championship game, why bother…. It’s the only way to keep it from being only about $$ (the “eye test”, anyone??) - have something concrete that, when achieved, puts you in the playoff.
