Anybody pack a case of beer in their checked baggage?

Heading in to Lafayette tomorrow for a short visit with family. Was thinking of getting a case of Ghost to bring back. Will I be able to put it in my checked baggage without any hassles from the airlines? Flying Delta and their website says it's ok, just wondering if the local terminal will over rule

I do it for every city I visit. Never had any issues.

Ive travelled with the maximum weight allowance in a suitcase completely full of beer. It was no problemo. I did have to leave a couple Treehouse beers with the check-in agent bc i was a little over. Ive done similar things probably two or three other times

Never had any issues, either....just make sure the bottles are wrapped up well or they will get broken.

If bottles bubble wrap and then put into gallon plastic bags in case of leaks/breakage.
If cans just put into gallon bags.
Wrap them in your clothes.
Check the weight so you don't have to take any out at check-in.
I traveled domestically for 35 years and always hit up the local breweries/brewpubs/beer stores and always brought beers and glasses back home with me. Good luck!!

Not a problem at all. I'd invest in some ziplocks to wrap each can with and make sure you protect all the cans with clothes/towels.

No problem at all. Do it all the time and fly out of LFT with beer

Flown back from Asheville with lots of beer over the years. Bottles and cans. Stick beers in sock or something , borrow a hotel towel or two and wrap it all up. Put in the middle of your bag with stuff on top and bottom. 85% of the time it works everytime.

I stash wine bottles like that all the time. No problem as long as it is not in a carryon.

Shouldn't be a problem.
Only ever had one can failure flying back from NYC. Pack a few quart size zip bags (one for each can) to mitigate beer soaked clothes.

Usually it's the wife my son and me that come down, and I split it up between 3 bags, but this time I coming alone and was just concerned that I would catch shite for having that much in one bag.

Not beer, but you can take liquor shooter bottles in your carryon luggage. Security won't say a thing.
Why pay $10 for a shot of Jack Daniels when you can buy 10 of them for that price and then make your mixed drinks in the bathroom?

just make sure you put it in a ziplock bag first. Change in air pressure might do funny things to the cans/bottles.
