Alleva was a complete idiot for bringing Miles back after all of the old women on facebook cried bc he was getting fired. Then the next year we started out 2-2 and he was fired anyways. Its eerily similar to Arkansas today.

I keep seeing this posted but no one will ever actually expand on it. Seems like it's one of those classic things that fans will say about a fired coach when they're just trying to rationalize

He didn't go on a podcast, didn't speak at the high school coaches club, and had players smoking weed in the visitors locker room (which was definitely a big issue). But that list is mostly just crap that wouldn't matter if the coach was winning the way the fans wanted and expected. It's no worse than any other coach

When you’re getting paid SEVENTY FIVE MILLION DOLLARS to coach college football, it would be wise to discipline your players, honor your commitments, and basically be a stand-up human.
It’s not that hard.

The comments are based on multiple in-depth articles from two national outlets. None of us need to make the case to you.
Not much of it would have mattered if he were the great savant we were promised, but you can't blow off requests from the administration and fly out of town whenever you want for 2 or 3 years straight if you're not doing something amazing.

So big time college coaches in Tx are required to attend way more obligations and events than any other coaches in the other 49 states(on top of their million other responsibilities)because a bunch of high school coaches have inflated egos in the state of Texas. Seems like Jimbo was guaranteed 100 million and thought “This shite is fricking dumb.” And decided to just ride out the contract.
