Most Aggy thing ever. They clearly had no plan in place. Turned down by Mark Stoops and then desperately go after a middle of the pack ACC coach in hopes to save face.

The Jimbo firing wasn’t part of a long in-depth process. There were SIGNIFICANT issues beyond his win/loss record.

He had to go, regardless.

He really was. Even during the season Aggies said this. I don't think he's a slam dunk hire, but it's not terrible and there's an element of excitement that he could be really good.

Very similar to Tom Herman and Billy Napier, in terms of background.

Jimbo left this same taste in FSU's mouth upon departure. He is a train wreck

He is a defensive coach that went 9-7 in ACC play. That’s the home run hire you pay Jimbo 70+ million to leave? Defense wasn’t A&M’s problem.

But Ok.

He really likes Durham, apparently. But we love the guy.

Elko was a guaranteed hire if they couldn’t get a top coach. He’s been there and did pretty good at duke. Way better than stoops who gets paid 9 mil for some reason.

This is like the Tennessee coaching search from years ago when they tried to hire Schiano

Keep seeing this posted. What was he doing? Sleeping around with coaches wives?

Doesn’t explain why there was no plan in place.

Aggie’s plan is always to throw money at it.

It's generally this way when a coach is fired. Posters show up everywhere with vague posts about some things off the field. They don't mention what happened, have no source, but act like they're guarding a secret that threatens national security.

In truth, they just read a post by someone else, who read it somewhere else, etc. If they knew anything, there's no reason they shouldn't just say it. They don't know a thing.
