Sure Democrats and establishment Republicans want the names of those who speak against the State.

Correct, it's called free speech and people don't have to announce to the world who they are.
Online, a LOT of people engage in active defamation that they would NOT if not anonymous, because the anonymity essentially gives them immunity from suit because it is basically impossible to find and sue them.
Free speech is good. Defamation is not. Online anonymity is basically a license to commit defamation.

And if I did not have to worry about being canceled, my employer contacted and being fired, I would have no problem saying whatever I wanted to say face to face to whomever it is directed toward.
