Newsom isn't a pedophile and his family, as far as I know, isn't corrupt to the tune of millions over overseas dollars. He also doesn't suffer from dementia and can handle more than 45 minutes of work per day. He would be a much tougher out than Biden.

Vivek calling it out means no one can say that "no one knew it wasn't going to be Biden".
The response would be: Vivek knew and he wasn't the only one. The Dems were trying to put a "establishment favorite" as an unvetted, last-minute nominee the whole time.

You may hate Gavin and see him as a phony. I’d say Beto is even worse, and he STILL came within 3 points of unseating Cruz in Texas. Say what you want about Cruz, but that’s a serious challenge to an established incumbent.

I live in a state that is receiving thousands of fleeing Californians. I am pretty familiar with Newsom's politics. The fact is that woke shite is not a dealbreaker for the voters that would pause to vote for Biden again because of what has been exposed about him/his family.

You might be looking at it like a non-Lefty or non-OMB voter. For the type of voter we need not turning out for the Dem, all the whackjob liberal shite in California is not going to keep them on the sidelines. I have an older brother like this. An enthusiastic liberal, scientist that thinks he knows more than everybody else but somehow fell for Covid hysteria - he would have trouble voting for Biden a second time. I don't think he'd hesitate voting for Newsom. I know he'd fall all over himself to vote for Mike.

I don't know, man. I didn't think they could get him to the finish line last time, either. He would need Ukraine and Israel to settle down and some economic improvement. That could happen in a year. That said, I think it's risky and they will find a way for Newsom.
