How much is OP willing to donate to get rid of Kelly?

He isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

The team he took over was absolutely depleted. He basically started from scratch.

I agree

He overachieved last year, and repeating those results this year would be a win

But outside of OL and RBs, he will be right back where he started next year. And will need plenty staff changes. Just about a complete rebuild, without the coaches in place to achieve the recruiting necessary

Les Miles winning percentage at LSU an SEC school is higher than Brian Kelly winning percentage at Notre Dame, not to mention he is 62 IMO past his coaching prime.

It’s not going to get better.

10 wins? A&M actually plays defense.
LSU could easily end the season with 8 wins. Georgia state and 1 of Florida and A&M as a win.

Doubt they win the bowl game unless they are matched against a team with a shite offense and defense. We know by looking at the schedule if a team(minus Missouri) is average to good at either they’ll beat LSU.

Everyone forgets about Ole Miss last year.

And Missouri this year on the toad was a really good win. They are not a typical Missouri team. That a-hole is one who only defines “big games” as ones we lose and Bama. They did the same thing with Miles. Every game in the SEC is big and you can’t play big games like the SECCG unless you won a bunch of big games along the way.

And you can criticize him for the defense this year certainly, and ST last year, but really the only game he’s lost against a team that we were better than was A&M last year. And even though we were the better “team,” they still had a much more talented roster. Not an excuse, but that’s really the only “bad” loss he’s had. Others were uglier than they should have been, but they’ve all been to team that were simply better than us at the time.

He’s finally had a couple of seasons to figure out how brutal the weekly SEC gauntlet is. It’s one thing to intellectually “understand” it, but it’s another to actually live it. We’ll see how he adjusts with replacing the defensive staff and who he goes out and gets from the portal.

Another fair criticism is that he seems to coach his teams like NFL teams, trying to get them to better throughout the season and playing their best football at the end. Every college coach does this to a certain extent, but with only a 4-team playoff, you have to start fast, a couple of losses ends your NC hopes. Thankfully this will be the last year of that, though. BK has to figure out a way to get better while still figuring out ways to win early, but he/we should benefit from the 12-team playoff as much as anyone.

We got rid of Miles because we want something more than 10 wins.

Les was fired because he hadn't won 10 games in a few years and there was no evidence that it was going to get better. Also, Alleva had wanted him gone since 2013.

Do you think it’s harder to win games on a SEC schedule or NDs schedule?

The only compliant I MAY could make is that he took DBs last year that would only be here 1 season. It worked out last season, it hasn't worked this season. And like it or not, the defense has had major hurdles this year, dl coach, Greg brooks, 3 DBS that were supposed to contribute not working out

we miss two NFL DEs from last year most of all

Does he think he is accomplishing some huge by winning 10 games

He saw how well it worked for Miles

And idiots on here were going apeshit defending that level of mediocrity when Miles did it. Then they got to see what Miles did at Kansas, and realized what buffoons they were for defending him here

Kansas
Les Miles (3-18) .143
Lance Leipold (15-19, currently 7-2) .441

OK State
Les Miles (28-21) .571
Mike Gundy (163-77) .679

Teams with good defense beats us. Bama and FSU both held us under 30.

I think LSU almost wins out, except lose to A&M again.
