Last season:

- CJ was not good most nights when he was asked to be #2. He's one of the bigger reasons the Pels won tonight.
- With Trey and BI out we'd have take 20 or fewer 3s last year. Tonight they shot 42 3s.
- If you shoot 31% from 3 while taking 42 3s last year you probably don't win.
- Surely that means they hit a lot of FTs, right? 58.6% from the line?! How the hell did they win this game?

Seriously. Just glancing at some of the totals this win doesn't make sense, but I'll take it.

Great comment.

This team has forever sat on the other bench during these games.

This felt so much better.

Thunder shot 20 percent from three on 34 shots. Definitely a weird win with how it started but one we probably don’t in previous seasons. Credit to the team for staying in it.

Yeah and a guy who gets a lot of credit for the win was 4-19 from the field and 1-12 from 3.

Hawkins confidence in his game really showed tonight. His shot wasn’t falling but he still knew he had to keep taking them in addition to playing good defense and moving the ball around.

Soooo keep shooting 3s no matter what. Got it!

But seriously regardless of what percentage we hit its the threat of constant 3s, that provides the offense to space and flow. Granted you want to hit more than we did but still works.

22 offensive rebs to their 6. That was the game.

This and they won the turnover battle 15-10. As a result of that combo, New Orleans attempted 14 more field goals. OKC also shot 7/34 from three.

Not directed at you specifically, but I know who would've been blamed had we lost. We win, and we're scratching our heads for the reasons why.

Yo can you tell Vinson to help Larry and CJ with free throws lol

I’m just messing with you. Great win and hopefully we shoot better.

It’s a Good win, but we really have to figure out how to close these games better. All 3 of our wins were pretty disgusting basketball in the last 3 minutes or so.

We were up 12 with 5 minutes left, and OKC took a game winning shot.

No way to argue that is finishing strong.

Was only close because of missed free throws

They don’t give out style points for wins. As long as they find a way to win, thats the key.

So much negativity on the board. I don't get it. 82 game season and we were missing 3 of our top 8 and 4 of our top 11 on the road against what everyone seems to think will be a top contender for a top 6 position. This was a fantastic win. This is a game we don't get in the past.

We weren't perfect but we did what we needed to do. Willie going point Zion in the second half was a great adjustment and CJ and JV stepped up to make enough plays to help beat a good team on the road. Big chance to get to 4-1 tonight.

Although tight, this was a quality road win. I’m happy about it.

A big comeback win is covering up SERIOUS flaws that we would be relentless attacking today if OKC was more competent

Those flaws need to be addressed. If they are, this team can do some damage. If they aren't, we lose more games like last night than we win with those numbers

I don’t disagree with you. BUT it’s possible that some of those flaws are about figuring things out and only being 4 games into the season.

The flaws right now are a mix of growing pains and missing players.

We have already seen growth through a few games between Dyson and Hawkins.

Both of them look more confident. Hawkins on offense and defense and Dyson with his aggression and possession/ passing.

If Zion, Hawkins, and Daniels improve along with CJ consistency before Trey/ Jose/ BI/ Naji get in rhythm…. Damn

I try not to be negative, but I'll be honest with you, I didn't watch the 2nd quarter. Maybe I was the bad luck.

For me, this is broken record shite. I know the FO and coaches can't control injuries, but at some point, it gets repetitive and frustrating for fans. Same ole shite.

That's fine. But the lack of effort from a few guys, especially Zion, in the 1st, was a bad on court product. Its ok to not like that as a fan. Yes, he's being kicked to shite in the paint and he doesn't get calls that he should, but at minimum, he has to keep his composure and get back on defense.
