If you have 15k, and can save $3,500 until the spring, you'd have 32k. Then you're just 3 months away from paying it off. What's wrong with doing it the way you should?

What is the cost with the 12 month interest free? What is the cost if you walk in with cash in hand?

If the $3,500/month for 1 year is stretching you too thin, then you either need to pass on it for now or you need to get a loan and pay it off over a few years. Not advising either, just looks like these are your only options if you are unwilling to sell off some of your investments in your brokerage account.

To the OP:

Is the 0% financing truly 0%?

Do they offer a lower price if you pay in full today?

If it's truly 0% and no cheaper to pay in full, I don't really see the problem with this. Especially if you can cash flow it and not cash in any investments (which also might have a tax impact).

Now, I think you are absolutely insane for dropping $42K on a watch. But you seem like you have made up your mind, so...

Is that your emergency fund and/or the cash reserve for your rental properties? Just curious.

This seems like as good a place as any to tell my Rolex story.

About 2-3 years after I started my business, I noticed my income was stagnate at just about where I was when I
left my job. And I knew I could do better.

I had browsed a few Rolexes, and finally found one that I wanted, so I set myself an income goal of about 25% higher than where I was.

I hit the goal the next year, and bought me a $7000 Rolex!

A few years later I doubled that income, and bought me a $9000 Rolex. (which by the way, got stolen)

When they say it's a "tool" watch, it can be a tool to motivate, but not sure what else.

To the OP, if your story sounds foolish to others, you may want to reevaluate. But I am curious to the model!

Buy a refurbished one for 6k and save the rest.

Give to your son when he graduates college.

Don't buy a precious metal model. Get a stainless sport watch. What are you looking at?

I have made the committment to purchasing a Rolex. I made the decision last year. I also feel confident it is an asset and will not lose money. Money isn't an issue to purchase it, but what would you recommend as the best route? I don't just have $40k sitting freely. I always invest to the fullest and pay off everything monthly.

They can offer 12 months interest free. I think this is by far best option. In house. This just stretches me a little too much to maintain my monthly balance as a full $3,500/month payment would have me maxed out to the fullest.

I am good on assets, but don't want to sell anything or pull anything out of my portfolio. Just curious if there was a better option for me.

Not sure this is a troll, but answering as if it is not.

How much do you have in stocks in your taxable brokerage?

silliness. i have never been a big jewelry wearer so i sure as shite am not spending that on an object i wear.

use that towards buying a used sports car if you want a toy. but a fricking watch? really?

i can get a used maserati gran turismo for cheaper than his watch.

Save $2k for 24 months, pay for the watch, cash, and then take a vacation with the surplus plus the interest.
