Will be successful if they can bring a working x app to smart tv’s. I love watching videos posted to x but it’s a pain in the arse to airplay it to the tv everytime and have your smartphone locked on the X app. Cannot airplay video and use phone on other apps simultaneously

Elon is known for springing ideas on his teams publicly. Looks like he did that to Yaccarino here, but its surprising that wouldn't be going on behind the scenes already.

Look, it would be easy to discount it because people announce these grandiose ideas all the time. But Elon is a different kind of guy. He bought Twitter with big plans for it. And if anybody can take it to the next level, it's gonna be this guy.

I love how the dude makes twitter less user-friendly and more buggy, but now he wants to expand it.
Sorta like Trump only running for president because Obama roasted him at the correspondence dinner, I'm convinced Elon bought twitter and is slowly dismantling it because the previous regime blocked him from it that one time.

Elon has been hinting at this for quite a while. It has always been a dream of his to have an everything platform.

I am all for competition but I hope this doesn't push content creators father into the "shorts" format.
YT is a big foe to vanquish or even erode but content creators don't have any exclusivity requirement with YT so they could just put their entire catalog on X if they wished unless YT changes their agreement to something like Twitch had.

I'd highly recommend the new biography of him by Walter Isaacson. He's an amazing guy. Of course Isaacson is obligated to smear him at times and address some of the criticisms of many on the left, but overall it's seemingly a fair portrait.
Anyway, one of the things about Elon is that this was always his idea for PayPal. It's just that he and Thiel had to sell to get the capital for their other ideas. Now he's trying to come full circle with his original "X" idea by using Twitter.
Also interesting was seeing his personal politics have drifted towards the right lately to the dismay of his left-leaning brother and others. I think Elon always was more right-leaning at heart, but his dad is pretty far right and is a huge a-hole, so that seemed to cause Elon to feel obligated to embrace left-leaning views just to not be like his dad IMO.
