you do know that is a service academy tradition to sing the opponents alma mater after games?

Lsu isn't a service academy and this isn't LSUs tradition. It's pandering. In addition to already altering the field to honor the opponent.

we are an opponent of a service academy though.

this isn’t Auburn or Florida coming to town. We would never do that for those cocksuckers

it’s a one off opponent from a military school.
LSU has a very deep military history.

cheering for them is stupid, but being respectful and honoring them isn’t pandering.

Kind of embarrassing as the stadium will be virtually empty by then.

I’m more concerned with Foster Moreau returning as guest captain.

For our WRs, TEs, and RBs, I hope whatever he has isn’t catching. Pardon the pun.

All this is getting fricking out of hand. Let's just forfeit the game and let them win

Do you know whose fight song was played by the LSU Golden Band in the pre-game show of the 1971 Notre Dame game? ND's "Hail, Hail".

A forgotten LSU tradition of saluting the visiting team and their fans, at that time it was done for all opponents, including Ole Miss and Bama.

Is the US military really serving America by supporting a rich, racially exclusive land in the Middle East, at the same time our nation is being invaded from the southern birder?

Northwestern, and I believe some other Big Ten schools, still play their opponents' fight song during pregame.

We also used to paint the south endzone in the colors of our opponent.

And I haven't seen a service academy game where their opponents DON'T stand for their alma mater postgame. It happens every game, and the winner always sings second.

The ignorance by some on this board is pretty impressive. I guess none of them pay attention to college football.
