The elimination of McCarthy as SOH and a fair warning to the most likely replacement, Scalise that he should make sure to pass 12 single subject spending bills without the chance that some omnibus crazy arse continuing resolution will bail him out and hide his duplicity in plain sight. Worst case scenario, we have an actual budget and a speaker of the house from Louisiana.

Other than that, not hoping for much.

Gaetz is doing the right thing. He’s developed and implemented a strategy for solving a persistent problem. Mad respect for his willingness to challenge the status quo, as opposed to just bitch about it.

Agree completely. On to the next guy. Jettison the Squeaker of the House and give the next guy a chance to lead and unite the conference while they handle the people's business the right way and get away from the bad habits that have become the norm.

Dumbshit, you don't even know what you think you want.

You want the show. Do you really think anything meaningful comes out of this? This is Gaetz making a power play because he wants something.....and it ain't merely " budget cuts" dude is too vain for that.

I really respect that dude, very few congressmen actually have balls to go against the system….

The people NEED to see where the GOPe's loyalties lie.

They have given Biden Trillions at a time when the purse should have been used to limit Biden.

If McCarthy survives it’s because of the Dems.

If McCarthy loses it’s because of the Dems.

Either way we lose.

Gaetz is a dumbass. He's helping the Democrats and you stupid assed nihilists are cheering him on.....for the entertainment value.

He and the dumb shite "Freedom" caucus are going to encourage the Democrats to vote for McCarthy. The price for that help is going to be high. Gaetz wins the battle and loses the war.

Exactly, they will get their way and open the border, pass an omnibus budget, continue to fund Ukraine.....uh, wait a minute...uh thats what mccarthy was doing.......

Gaetz was impressive there.

Democrats are laughing at us and encouraging this. While they are voting lockstep and unifying around everything, Republicans are destroying each other in the House and the Presidential campaigns. I respect the tolerance for independent thought but what are the actual results of any of this? Just more dysfunction.

Wednesday is right.

And what happens if he gets dems to help him across the finish line with a bunch of gope votes? Well let them vote for stupid shite like Ukraine laundromats, show their colors, AND BRING HIM UP FOR ANOTHER VOTE, and this time you will have all their constituents back home daring the asses to vote for him again.

Or we can do what the hand wringers on here say....and walk lockstep....to the gallows.

Seriously some of you on here are the same ones who think Oz was a worse candidate than Fetterman, and totally discount the 100s of millions zuck was pouring into said districts. Nope no correlation between that and electing a mentally ill person, none, and actually convince yourselves.

His strategy won't do shite except marginalize these policies because his strategy lacks something important: a way to win (or "solve the problem" as you put it).

It's not a "goalpost shift" when we have been waiting for Gaetz to show that the emperor never had any clothes.

Filing the motion was just the first step in his failure.

Now we get to witness the DEMs turn this into a W, exposing his shitty strategy and lack of support in real time.

Why do y'all always turn this into a black and white, zero-sum game scenario?

I don't like Kevin McCarthy. That has no bearing on understanding Gaetz is about to fail in epic fashion and (1) give the DEMs a big W and (2) marginalize the policies Gaetz claims to be promoting.

The GOP (and MAGA) are going to get less and end up further behind with the Gaetz strategy than normal negotiations.

There has been frick all done so far that was promised so feel free to explain just what we are losing

Another back door shady deal with the Dems?

Anything done about the border crisis?

Did the budget get worked to our favor?

Did the tapes get released?

Has there been anything in the Conservative agenda that has gone our way? The answer is no.
