I’ve almost given up watching for rain. Seems like the tropical system is gonna stay south of us and the front is gonna be dry.???????

Yep, less and less chance now. GFS model shows it brushing us barely, but that may not even materialize. I was going to throw out seed this afternoon but thinking I will wait.

Im not far from you, and I went ahead and planted cowpeas on Sunday in certain spots. It’s kind of a now or never with those as they are an early season only food source. Holding off on the remaining seed until later in October

It’s saying rain Wednesday night and maybe Thursday. I hope we get it.

I went ahead and planted this past weekend. I’m running out of weekends before I leave for Midwest hunt Nov 3rd. I’m counting on it starting to regularly rain soon.

We planted Thursday and it was saying .4in all the way up till that evening. We were planting out last plot that evening and got 8 drops that fell on us and I had maybe 12 drops hit my windshield driving up Friday afternoon. Radar looked like there was a forcefield around us.
I trust weather forecast like a trust politicians and farts after a breakfast biscuit!!

I’ll wait to plant at home for when I see rain in the immediate forecast. We are planting in woodville the 20/21 because there is so many to do and that’s when we have help.

We’ve got the forcefield too
Our land is on a higher elevation and the rain literally divides around us. So frustrating. 2” since May

We got rain this past week but it was so little that I could tell there was any when I was there today.
I went ahead and planted today. I have no idea if it will be successful or not but it’s out.
Fingers crossed.

Rain chances dwindling. This has got to be a sick joke.

As soon as I got off the tractor the rain percentages dropped from 50% to 30%

Don’t worry Thursday the 19th is 50% chance of 1/4in of rain I’m sure we will get some of that!!!

This is so sad.
I’m going to say it’s not going to rain until first day of gun season for adults in MS. Lol. Then it will pour.

I’m with you levee. I thought I got rain 2 weeks ago, but it wasn’t enough to even wet the dust.
Hopefully I get a half inch tomorrow, but it ain’t looking very good

I plan on planting about 10 acres of Fall Release from Green Cover Seed on Friday. I’m in SE Claiborne Co. and will be using a Genesis 5 for the first time. I’m eager to see the results.
