Even if it isn't a deterrent. I'm form it simply as an act of punishment that fits the crime.
Life in prison can not match the pain and evil of murder and rape. Kill them in a brutal and swift fashion as punishment first. If it's also a deterrent, that's gravy.

I think it is probably false.
By in large, people that are shooting innocent people aren’t logically considering and appreciating the consequences.
Also, public executions are not novel. Do we have any data supporting their effectiveness as a deterrent?

Bullet in the head, burn the body, dump ashes in a ditch. Make it quick. Prison isn’t a deterrent if all your friends and family are in there too.
Don’t make it a public execution. Don’t make it a show where by the prisoner gains any fame or recognition.

False. Some people are too intellectually uhh malnourished to know the difference between right and wrong. Not to mention they were raised in violent households so they are fricked from a young age.

I think finding the political will to punish criminals is the biggest problem, not punishment.
That said DA's that don't prosecute are just as harmful to the ongoing prevalence of street crime as LEO caught doing dumb things on camera. Neither are helping the cause.
