Nuss would be the starting QB at any school in the country this year outside of maybe USC and Texas.

Do you even watch college football?

I like Nuss and wish he was starting this year for LSU, but he's not better than Penix, Hartman, Maye, Nix, McCarthy, Travis, Rising (when healthy), Riley Leonard (Duke) among others. Maybe Shedeur Sanders, Michael Pratt and Drew Allar as well.

Kelly should have zero hesitation about starting Nuss if he feels it would take the offense to another level.

he must not think Nuss is better than JD then right?

Curious to see if they go back to Milroe at some point this year.

You may be correct, but you really have no idea if this is true. Nuss, once he gets some PT, may be really good and even better then we imagine.

I’m fine with JD or Nuss. Both have perks, both have flaws. They are polar opposites as QB. There’s advantages to starting either one.

Of course, but the poster I was responding to was making definitive statements.

The fact is, he's a backup right now. And backing up a rather mediocre QB, imo.

While I think we have to ride JD5 this year

Because sport coat BK says so?

I feel like we’re back to Les days. JJ vs Jarrett Lee, except Nuss is much better than Jarrett Lee.

And you have no idea if this is true. He could end up much worse than we imagine. But hopefully we will get to see.

Based on what? He couldn’t even beat JD for the starting job

If Saban rolled Milroe out there again people might start to think he’s senile. Glad to see they finally have QB problems. Sad times ahead in the trailer park.

Is he???

What extended evidence do we have???

Nuss seems to throw a decent amount of ints which was Jarrett Lee's issue as well was it not???

Whoever that guy was that Bama started was the worst QB I’ve ever seen there. Amazing that was their best option.

the elephant in the room - didn't take nick long to figure someone else needed a shot. Milroe wasn't going to take them to the promised land, although he is a superb athlete with a good arm who made some good throws. he's young and not a real qb yet.

on the other hand, how far does kelly think JD will take us? is he just being conservative on how many wins/losses we have, or does he want to push for a championship? in which case, imo, he'd have to give Nuss a try. I guarantee that Nick won't just stubbornly stick with Stuchner. but he is trying something different.

Nuss did quit on the team just 2 seasons ago so I'd say he is, in part, a baby back bitch.

Maybe Caleb Williams?? Nuss hasn’t played a game nearly on par with Shedeur Sanders
