This is why I like Nuss. While I think we have to ride JD5 this year, Nuss could easily be starting at Bama and could have gotten paid a lot of money.

But he’s not a baby back bitch like Wah Wah Walker Howard.

Team JD5 and Nuss Buss. We ridin the rest of the season and next year.

Desperate
With transfer portal, no reason for Bama not to have a top tier QB
On top of that, you missed on Holstein, Lonergan, Simpson, and Milroe
How is that even possible?

Alabama had an incredible run of QBs where they did not miss. That is rare. Quarterback is very hard to project, with a high failure rate. If Bryce Young was just a very good college QB and not great, Alabama would have lost probably 3-4 more games over the past two seasons.

They are all true freshmen or redshirt freshmen. Not sure I would call them misses yet.

They have also missed majorly on WR evals.

Probably premature on Simpson, a redshirt Freshman.

And definitely premature on Holstein and Lonergan, who are true freshmen.

Milroe and Buchner are RS-Soph, and that makes them the most senior of the group. Better question is, how do you have no juniors or seniors?

Probably didn't wanna just be "another Bama QB to win a natty"

Guy wanted to make a name for himself so he went to ND, where you can become a God for beating Navy and NC State.

Buchner has 6 TDs vs 8 INTs in his 2 seasons at ND.

Of course. You don't evolve to a greater level of offense with a scrambling QB. You can't improve if only one guy is doing everything.

When you have a freshman QB starter, it tends to run off the other quarterbacks.

Milroe is a 3rd year, so junior (but technically a reshirt sophomore). He's the same class as Nuss. He came to Alabama the year after Bryce.

Good point. But, he's the obvious miss of the bunch.

I remember that time he burned his redshirt to play in the bowl game.

Nuss would be the starting QB at any school in the country this year outside of maybe USC and Texas.

Kelly should have zero hesitation about starting Nuss if he feels it would take the offense to another level.

Do you not realize it was long term better for LSU that he didn’t play in that game?

And UNC, and Oregon, and Washington, there is a lot of good QB play out there, just not in the SEC this year.

Had he played in the bowl game and played well, LSU likely would not have gone after Daniels as a transfer. He had an opportunity to show a new coaching staff what he could do and he declined.

It was especially dumb, because he could've easily redshirted last season had he burned his redshirt the previous year.

You think the coaching staff needs to see him in a meaningless bowl game to determine if he’s good? They can tell from practice. He was a gunslinger that threw INTs and wasn’t ready, he still makes questionable throws. It was pointless to play him in that game.
