Nuss is the better quarterback for Denbrock’s system. Kelly has a decision to make. If he likes the versatility of a mobile, passing QB and continues to recruit that profile, then he will need to replace Denbrock. If he likes Denbrock’s system, then they need to recruit a different style QB.

I watched LSU vs Ole Miss from 2010 on youtube the other day and I could have sworn JD was or QB but it was JJ. They are the same. Give me Nuss all day.

They have also missed majorly on WR evals.

What about corners? Why did they need Eli Ricks in the first place?

Bama is missing on everything. Saban probably is coasting. He’s probably not doing the job he used to do sifting through the recruiting services’ rankings.

Wah Wah Walker Howard.

Everyone says way way Walker Howard but Kelly probably told him at worst you will be number 2 to get him to stay then he goes out and brings in Jayden Daniels.

Alabama coaching staff is not the best in the conference anymore. Might not be top 5. Still recruit elite but the players don’t get a whole lot better while they’re there like they used to.

Nuss could easily be starting at Bama and could have gotten paid a lot of money.

It’s hilarious. Ironic how we gnash our teeth over our supposed inability to sign a blue chip qb while bama signs multiple seemingly every year and not one of them is good enough to start.

On top of that, you missed on Holstein, Lonergan, Simpson, and Milroe How is that even possible?

Letting BOB hang around a year too long had a lot to do with it. That was a big mistake on Saban’s part. He obviously wasn’t on the same planet as his predecessors in terms of QB development.

He has a daddy that knows how to develop character in his son. He knows what grows a fine man.

And he is a Lake Charles boy. I admire that talented young man. Great family!

Curious to see if they go back to Milroe at some point this year.

I would bet the house that he at least has a running package they roll out to shake things up, especially if Buckner is struggling. They may even go with a 2 QB system if Buckner can’t take full ownership of the job in a game or two.

You may be correct, but you really have no idea if this is true. Nuss, once he gets some PT, may be really good and even better then we imagine.

That may be true, but the original comment implied it would be a no-brainer that Nuss would instantly start at those schools. That’s just not realistic, as talented as he is.

Could Nuss end up being better than some of them- absolutely. We’ll see. He’s going to get his shot here. It’s just a matter of when.

I bet they miss having both Tua AND Hurts at the same time.

QB is least of their problems. Their problem is that defense. They have been getting worse and worse over the years. Before the QB didn't matter. They were able to shut down teams now they getting scored on every which way. Saban seems to be slipping in that department.

how is Hartman at ND and not Bama?

Bama OL is terrible. Their center got dominated by the interior TX DL. ND has a really good OL. Not saying this is the reason but BAma had OL issues last year. Had to factor in his decision.

That is ridiculous. JD is ten times the passing QB that JJ was. BTW, I am a JJ fan. The guy was not a great QB, but he was a ferocious competitor and he was a great Tiger! I’m proud of him.

JD is one of the most effective QBs in college football. Even when he is struggling to pull the trigger on downfield throws, he is still moving our offense.

I will call myself out. This was certainly a bad take yesterday. Best passing game for Daniel's in a Tiger uniform.
