Dodge CEO runs a company with $8.7 billion annual revenue, overseeing thousands of employees, factories, inventory, dealerships etc. Advanced degrees and training

Average UAW work puts on part of a car together, might have a degree might just be a high school graduate and hard worker.

This isn't the point you think it is. This actually proves how shitty unions really are.

GM employs 93,000 people. GM should fire the CEO and give out his pay to the rank and file. That’s like 300 bucks each. That should settle things, right?

I read $28/hour on the google machine. That's about what scaffold builders make down here. Honestly that's not bad money for people starting out with no skill/trade/education.

But that CEO pay is ridiculous. Stockholders should be outraged

i think there is something to this, but i dont know what the solution is. i dont think the government should by ANY means dictate what a CEO can make. so is it just on the individual companies to manage this? should a CEO take a lower paycheck out of the goodness of his heart? genuinely curious what your thoughts are on this.

It’s true. It does destabilize societies. That’s not an endorsement of anything in particular. I’m all about shareholders compensating top talent as they choose. I oppose any effort to curb it on anything other than a voluntary basis. I’m just saying it destabilizes society to have gigantic financial swings across society. It creates an untouchable elite class and it feeds the rage of Leftist losers. It’s hardly a socialist talking point, it’s a point Tucker Carlson makes weekly.

His salary is probably only like $1-2M a year. He just gets like $25M in preferred stock options.

I think the better stat is GM CEO gives himself a 40% raise over the last 5 years. Over the same time period, he gives his employees a 5% raise

The difference in pay is the not the problem. The difference in the rate of change is

What’s your proposal?

We have been steadily increasing government intervention into the economy.

What have the results been?

Professional politician has certainly become a lucrative gig…
