Most people who merge at the end were made to do so by the assholes who wouldn’t cede a gap for them to merge in earlier.

People like me profile everyone on the road. I want to get the hell in front of you because you're doing 47 in a 60, and are likely to randomly brake, for no explicable reason.
You are a danger to me, so I want to get around you.
And yes, when you ignored the "left land ends" sign, and just act like I'm supposed to slam on my brakes or let you exclaim, "OMG, where did the lane go, where do I go"
sequence, I have no sympathy.
You seem like the dude that will stop an interstate to cut over four lanes to make your exit to the loop. Most of the country isn't the Bronx, you won't get shot if you just hit the next exit and turn around.

I always let people merge unless I look in the rearview and see them hauling arse tryna cut in linel while the rest of us are moving at a crawl. I frick those people and then laugh.

I drive my MIL to doc appts and trips to the grocery store. She absolutely hates when I let a driver merge in front of me. She tosses out some old Italian phrases that translated would make you blush.

I’m polite as frick as long as we don’t get crossways. But I’ve gotten better about that.
The only thing I do, that I really try not to (and often fail) is: there’s a certain turn out of our neighborhood, 1 of like 3 ways, onto the highway and people take forever to turn right because they can’t properly read/time the traffic coming and have plenty of time to make the turn but don’t. I hate stressing people out over being safe but yeah dammit I do after a while.

Just yielding a car length goes a long way toward basic civil relations. And what difference does it make, it's traffic, no reason to get upset or be aggressive. Can only roll my eyes at people like that, it's so unnecessary.

The amount of clapped out Altimas that weave through traffic missing bumpers amazes me. It's a common car and always in bad shape. I'm at the point now where I avoid Nissans on the road.
