LSU offense has really been impressive at times vs Fla State and Grambling, moving across the field in quick order. I sense it’s going to improve more with additional players involved in the offense.

But I haven’t found anything impressive about House’s defense, maybe that will change. Masson’s face looked like he had been swimming in a pool, drenched, he’s going to take a few games to get right. Fix the defense and LSU might find itself playing in the SEC championship.

Lsu had to lean on the defense to win several times last year. I’m sure house hasn’t forgotten how to coach over the off season

Actually the rant was right when it predicted dumbasses would elevate the Grambling game and declare LSU back.

I'm deeply concerned with all the BBQ buddies coaching. Denbrock, House, Steeples and Cooks need to be seriously evaluated at end of season.

I’m not sold on either… CBK included.

Our team looks flat and not prepared.

Defense is going to have to make big strides against State. The jury is still out, IMO.

After watching the offenses of other SEC teams, LSU will be fine offensively. I’ve come around on Denbrock but still want to see more. I’m still confused by LSU’s defensive front not getting pressure on the QB. Should there be more blitzing and scheming by House?

Winning the West doesn't seem like such a daunting task this morning.

I don't understand the offensive philosophy. In the offseason, we heard that Daniels was going to be attacking downfield much more and running less. We also heard about how, if we have to run him, we will because we are confident in the backup.

What I'm seeing is him attacking downfield maybe 5% more than last year AND running much less. Either sling the rock or zone read them to death but we aren't doing either well.

I would think the DL "fill in" coach is perhaps in over his head. The entire front seven looks slow to me. So, talent and motivation seems concerning. House is still an open question as well at this point.

Or maybe our players just aren’t as good as advertised. Not everything is the fault of the coach. (But that doesn’t help your agenda).

So an honest question about House….. Does the Rant think he is “over complicating “ or over thinking the defense?? He made what appeared to be good adjustments last season!

I think so. Last year he had to simplify things. It worked. This year I w9nder if his schemes are causing confusion and hesitation. Need to go back to simple see ball get ball
