When I was a teenager, I kept my freakin mouth
all-the-way SHUT - and as a consequence of said discretion -I was able to knock the absolute bottom out of some MILF’s back in my day on a regular basis.
WHY do these kids open their stupid mouths?!?

It's probably just a small percentage of kids that run their mouths about smashing a teacher. Most of the kids are probably keeping their mouths shut from the embarrassment of banging a fatty or they just want to continue to get laid.

I think that for every one of these teachers who is outed as banging a student, there are probably hundreds of others who are not getting caught.
And I imagine it was even more rampant 20+ years ago before technology. It is so easy to get caught now with pics on phones, tracking devices parents have on their kids phones, etc. Before all that, unless someone actually walked in on you in the middle of the act, you were probably getting away with it.
