re: Honest apolitical question. Covid.

How is it poorly worded? I cited the entire paragraph from the CDC. What am I missing?

Zero conspiracy here, just asking questions. This goes against common sense, seemingly, that if one has never had Covid before they are better suited against this new version?
At the end of the day it is still a cold. Hospital admissions are still unaffected.

How is that even possible?
The ones that “survive” are the ones able to bypass and replicate.

OK, now you have me curious. What about putting vaccine into quotes is an issue? ? Because there isn’t a vaccine, that’s not even up for debate.

Oh agree to disagree

Because it's further down in the link that it's comparing it to previous variants.
quote:
Immune Impacts: The large number of mutations in this variant raises concerns of greater escape from existing immunity from vaccines and previous infections compared with other recent variants.
I assume the person writing up these things for the CDC every day for the past year would know they were comparing variants, but to outsiders it isn't so obvious if you just read the heading and not the full release.

I agree with you, but putting quotes around vaccine will not doubt lead to a political shite throwing mess.

The information is coming from the government and big pharma. They have been wrong and lied since the beginning.
The reality is covid is a virus. You can get a virus many time. It does not require a shot. It does require preventatives and medicine to assist with symptoms for some people. if you have a weakened immune system, you could die. If you are mis-diagnosed, you may also die.
Anecdotal but something to keep in mind. 4 kids in my daughter's class took home kits and popped positive for covid. when they all went to see a doctor to confirm, they were all negative for covid and three had strep.
So can you imagine having strep and not treating it with antibiotics because you think you have covid.
Medical community has destroyed themselves because they sold their souls for the money.

It would seem that the virus could evolve to go around any built up immunities in a a “self preservation” method. I would assume it’s like others have said, its similar to seasonal flu that mutates every year. The annual flu vaccines do have the ability to reduce the severity of flu when you do catch it.

Its an election year. Get ready. You will see fear mongering on Covid (get your booster!), white police officers killing black people (who are perfect angels, who didn't do anything wrong, that's racist!), mass shootings (gun control!), and oh no its 92 in September, a branch fell on the street (Climate Change!), a man sexual rubbing a woman's vagine who didn't want it rubbed (sexual assault!) and a woman who couldn't get a life altering abortion who died (Stay off our pussies!) Basically. White men bad. Vote for an insane old clown white man to run the country!

Colds and flu mutate too fast for a vaccine to ever effectively eradicate them.

BA.2.86
Should be updated today.

It’s a Chinese bio weapon that escaped tfrom a lab, I think it’s doctor on all this from Minnesota (Oppenheimer I think) that says it best, anyone that tells you thy do understand all this is lying. He write a book on this ten years ago.
The real truth is we don’t know.
They aren’t true vaccines as they don’t keep you from getting shite they are just supposed to keep you out of hospital and from dying . Virus mutate too much to ever really have an effective vaccine but these are not really vaccines anyway

BA.2.86 may be more capable of causing infection in people who have previously had COVID-19 or who have received COVID-19 vaccines.
This is confusingly worded. "More capable" here is a comparison between strains - that is, it has been speculated that this strain may be more likely to cause infection in previously infected or vaccinated people than other strains. It's starting to seem like this isn't true, though:
quote:
But three studies released since the weekend, along with Moderna's new data, suggest the variant, nicknamed Pirola, isn't so bad — at least for now, said Dr. Eric Topol, professor and executive vice president of Scripps Research in La Jolla, California.
"It's been downgraded from a hurricane to not even a tropical storm. We're lucky," Topol said. "This one could have been really bad."

Which is weird because this isn’t a peer reviewed paper but some thing that is aimed to be suitable for the public. At least that’s my understanding.
The way I see it there are three groups. The unvaccinated who had it. The vaccinated. And those who have neither caught or had the vaccine. It still baffles me as to why those in the last group would be more protected.
This isn’t taking into consideration in the other vaccines, and if they “escape“. And why would that even be tossed into the equation anyways? How about the zero viruses or pathogens escape. I pick that.

probably because that isn't the case?
But to the greater point, they have literally only sequenced 9 fricking samples of this variant. They don't know shite yet

Well you would be less baffled if you learned how to read an entire briefing where it states that isn't what it meant.
