Liberty Safes is getting the Bud Light treatment big time

Per the Hodge Twins on Twitter, a friend of theirs, an attendee to J6, someone who did not enter the US Capital, but just attended to be there, has been arrested by the Feds.
The Feds had a search warrant to search his house. When it came to his Liberty safe, the FBI called Liberty Safes and they gave the Feds a 'backdoor' code to access the contents of the safe.
They really don't know their customers. Twitter is blowing up about it. People with their safes are pissed as hell.
This evening, in a post to Twitter by Liberty Safes, they wrote the following:
Twitter link to the Liberty Safes posted letter, and the stream of replies telling Liberty Safes to shove their safes up their asses.

Another faux conservative company that "backs tha blew!" no matter what. frick your privacy rights, amiright you establishment GOP shitbags? Just as bad as any liberal.

If they had a valid warrant liberty safes saved the guy from having his safe destroyed by the FBI.
Them telling the FBI to pound sand wouldn’t have mattered, the FBI would have still gotten in the safe.

News flash,
FBI Safes, formally known as Liberty Safes, has gone out of business.

Perhaps someone can explain to me more about what this business provides
Safes obviously...but what's the point of having a safe if it can be accessed by any one other than yourself? I assume it's obviously a digital thing where the company can override your own passcode and allow law enforcement entry to the safe?

That's not the point. The point is they have a backdoor code to every safe they make. It's a massive weak spot and a middle finger to their customers.

Not understanding the problem here - besides the pettiness of most J-6 related "justice,"
but I don't see how the private company is in any position to question the validity of the warrant.
If the warrant is properly prepared and presented, then the problem is with the judicial system and not the private company.
Of course, anything related to J-6 is probably tainted - but the company probably doesn't even know the genesis of the warrant.
Go to the mat demanding the Justice system get their act together, but cannot fault the company on this one - just my humble opinion here.

You realize all safes have that?
When I was a cop I had to contact two or three manufacturers because the owners locked themselves out for whatever reason.
Usually it was owned by a parent that later died and the kids needed to get into the safe. I’ve done it for several different brands and they all had a bypass.

They absolutely can tell the FBI to pound sand. The Safe in question most likely was not named in the warrant and the FBI most likely used deception to get access.

well sure - but how is a company to know?
not sure it'd be smart business plan to just stiff the FBI when they come knocking.
This kind of problem needs to be solved by the people running the show - not by being stupid when confronted by the agents.
Those individual agents serving the warrant have no responsibility for anything nefarious going on behind the scenes.
I do not like the automatic "boo on the blue" === that sounds like BLM level decision to me.

When it comes to the FEDS, I absolutely will.

It should cease to be a question for the company the minute I pay for the safe.
My property...in my house...should only be easily accessible by me or others I trust.
If I lose the combo that's bad on me and I'll have to destroy the safe and take the loss myself.
Hell, if anything, you would think that would be a good thing for a safe company as I would have to purchase another one.
Liberty Safe is going to take a hard arse hit for this.

Eh,
If there is any shining light to all this the electronic locks they utilize are dog shite and likely won't open anyways. Was within a week of a move from Hawaii back to the states in which I would have to pull my firearms from my safe for cataloging to transport and my lock would no longer recognize my or any other admin codes. Had to have a locksmith come out and break into it to get it resolved, which liberty did end up reimbursing for under their warranty.

Apple supports a lot of leftism but I do respect them for telling the FBI to frick off.

This. The safe isn’t their property anymore. No reason to give anyone the code to open it.

The problem is the FBI, not liberty. They were complying with a legal warrant for which they had no background of. This is absolutely nothing like Bud Light.
