Read about this yesterday. You will have 2 large LNG projects on both sides of the mouth of calcasieau pass going on simultaneously. Idk where both projects will get enough craft nor where they will stay
I’m currently at the Venture Global site in Plaquemines Parish. They are manned up about half way and there’s currently a little over 4,000 people on site.
The strain on local resources is crazy.

Where are all these folks living currently?
When P66 used to have a big turnaround it was a cluster fck down that way. Especially the year some nimrod planned a major outage and project to start a week before Mardi Gras.

spent on infrastructure . Including highways
After the 10 year property tax exemption ends and this swell of revenue comes you can pay for the infrastructure.
Texas is smart, passing all their dirties to Louisiana. Louisiana seems to always be concerned in the short term instead of looking long.

I got a camper in my driveway in South LC, someone can rent it and we can commute together!
I might rent out my guest house if they are willing to pay enough and aren't trash.
Unlike a few years ago, there seems to be an abundance of rentals on the market.

Their corruption is easier to hide short term.

There is an ongoing discussion relating to Tellurian construction and financing on Money Talk. You might find that to be interesting.

Lots of locals and people that have fishing rented their places out. Lot of people up living in places like Gretna and Terrytown.
The prices for renting a decent camp are crazy. I’m in a very modern two bedroom camp built up in piers. 1050 square feet.
$2,300 per month

Lots of local businesses will be retiring once plaquemines lng is complete. The sheer man power it takes and engineering for the end product is truly incredible.

They have pilings and have failed for over 7 years to get financing when nat gas was $7 and interest rates were low. I doubt they cross the line

Even though the two sites may be a 1-2 miles away across the calcasieu river/big lake, it’s about the driving time between Lafayette and Baton Rouge between these two projects. The west side folks will stay in Carlyss/Sulphur, maybe Hackberry if they live in an RV/travel trailer, even Port Author, TX. East side project workers will stay in Lake Charles and Bell City.

Iowa is busting at the seams subdivisions going up everywhere I think more people will live there

Iowa where I'm living and your not lying perfect quiet country town. 40 minute drive to work pending bridge traffic. Will get interesting again once other big projects get ferc approval and have 5 to 10k boots on the ground.

Nobody has mentioned Sempra construction in Sabine pass + Golden pass expansion. Between Kiewet and Bechtel it’s amazing there are enough trades to go around.

Again, the valley staffs these projects.

you dont know what in the frick you are talking about dude
texas gives many exemptions and is our main competition for these projects and the reason we have to give the 10 year exemption is to give better benefits than them. all of these facilities are being built south of houston, Beaumont, LC, BR area. its big time competition
and LNG isnt dirty at all. can tell you have never even been close to a lng facility. its the cleanest facilities there are.

actually completely the opposite when it comes to the industrial tax exemption. its the ones screaming about the exemption that are looking short term
and i hate our state government but they are right on the exemption. Its either wait 10 years and get it and get all the other benefits now or get nothing.
Thats what people like you need to understand....its either give the exemption and get these projects or not get anything. these projects are 100% not coming to LA without the Exemption....period. Get that through your head.
