Williams will be the “starter” and probably have the most carries of anybody.

Emery is so explosive, if he can just hold on to the ball a little better he’s the perfect Lightning to William’s Thunder.

Goodwin has made some big plays too; not going to count on Bradford just yet.

Cain/Diggs more mop up guys.

I would like to see the rotation tightened up a little with 27 and 4 splitting the lion’s share of carries.

Is Armoni being seen as a lost cause at this point or just being slept on?

Going into his jr year and people aren't even talking about him getting touches.

Not a lost cause in my eyes. I think the coaches know what he can do when healthy. He is going to have to bide his time this year and really take advantage next year when some guys move on.

He has been hurt too much. I hope he sticks it out with lsu.

Goodwin is out there still wearing a knee brace apparently. While it may be just precautionary, not really a great sign.

They know what they have with a few guys and my guess is they are the first 4 into the game. I don't think anyone is good enough to be a feature back but they know:

Josh Williams can handle 3rd downs

Noah Cain is reliable in short yardage/goalline

Emery has the potential to break open the game

Diggs capable everydown back. Slashing type, plays well out of shotgun and in passing game. Nice pair with Daniels & what they want to do.

Armoni they know when fully healthy can be a rotation back.

Bradford is break glass if necessary. However if he proves to be a different dude, he will get his carrier. He looks to be in great physical shape

Frehsmen all into that same category. If one of them forces your hand, you play them if they can help you win. Otherwise they should be able to be comfortably put on ice.

Preseason prediction:

Emery will have a few great plays that excites everyone, but will ultimately be 3rd or 4th in the RB relevance order. Of course, that won’t stop him from being a first ballot HOF player in the minds of some LSU fans. Becoming the newest member of the club since Myles Brennan. Guys who played so little their hype still overrides their actual production

I think a lot of people are sleeping on Logan Diggs and Goodwin. We are absolutely stacked at RB & WR this year. I don't care if we share the workload/love at all. Just win baby

I don’t see it with Emery. He will be a part of the offense for sure but you have to limit his touches. His ball security issues go back to high school and I don’t see how one offseason where he wasn’t even fully with the team is going to fix it.

Design 6-8 plays a game for him and hope one will be a great play that only he could do like the Alabama game last year.

Both have big play ability and should be good in the passing game out the backfield

If Williams and Diggs are healthy I could see them getting the bulk of the playing time. Both are complete backs and per BK both are 3 down backs. Meaning they know they’re blocking assignments and can execute them. That’s just my prediction. It could very well be Cain and Emery being the bell cows.

Bradford? Are you serious? He may never sniff the field.

Noah Cain will have at least 10 TDs by mid-season.

Josh Williams is the man that BK will trust to hold onto the ball and get yardage late in the game.

Josh Williams is solid and we know what he brings to the table. But the question that no one here can answer, unless they can see the future, is which one or ones if any of the many other running backs on the team are going to break out this season. You could make a case for any of them, from the freshman Holly and Jackson, to the transfers Diggs and Bradford, or one of the returning backs Cain, Emery, or Goodwin. You got to expect at least one or two of those backs to have break out years. There's just too many of them there with that kind of potential.
