My wife and I have experienced multiple pregnancies that did not turn out well. Just know that what your wife will go through will be way harder than what you experience. Be there for her because these wounds are deep and will take a long time, if truly ever, to heel.

They said our little baw had a narrow aortic arch.
NICU etc.
He was fine.

Regardless, there are many resources for support.

Went through a very similar situation when I was pregnant with my son. The waiting & not knowing was excruciating. He was completely healthy when he was born & he is now a thriving teenager. Praying for the same outcome for you & your wife. Stay strong for your wife & take care of yourself.

Don’t try googling a diagnosis. It will only make things worse.

I’m so sorry. They’re is really only two things you can do:

1. Pray and pray and pray some more.
2. Be there for your wife. As hard as this is on you, it’s way harder on her. This won’t be easy for you, but she’s going to need you to be strong for her. Listen to her, love her, and support her.

I won't accuse your doctors of being FOS but I have a good friend from high school who had a very similar sounding experience as you. They urged her to abort, she refused. The child that wasn't supposed to make it, or at best be severely delayed with numerous health issues, is now a thriving 13 year old girl.

I can't imagine being in your position but I hope that offers you some hope and my family will be praying for you and your wife.

Man, I can’t imagine what you and your wife are feeling and I don’t have any good advice. I pray that God gives you both comfort and guidance in the days ahead. God bless.

Brother you gotta stand strong and be the rock for your family. Regardless of the outcome, your wife and child need your strength, love, and resolve. Don’t lose faith or hope.

We all have your back.

Wife miscarried our 2nd. She was 14 weeks. She said she never felt pregnant the entire time and that something felt off. We did the genetic test and got the results 3 days after she miscarried. Healthy little girl according to the test.

My first daughter, they told us she had like 5 soft markers. We googled the symptoms and my wife cried herself to sleep for weeks thinking she would have Downs.

Went in a few weeks later for the next scan and most of the markers had cleared up on their own.

She is 12 now and perfect in every way (except she has her father's ADHD).

Try not to let your wife stress over it too much; it will only make things worse. The ultrasounds seem less reliable than the weatherman. Don't Google symptoms. Pray and be there for your wife!
