It would also save stupid amounts of money. We are currently spending vast sums on treatments that usually at best stave off the inevitable for a few months and at worst do more harm than good.

People talking about the cost - there is a way to counter that. I have a plan that would deal with such things. Not going to get political on this board, but we could generate the revenue necessary to insure people get the medication cheaply while Big Pharma gets ROI.

Keytruda treatment like 150,000 an infusion and millions of people on this stuff. Too much profit in treatment, not to mention the tens of thousands of researchers and oncologists out of work.

Curing cancer is literally a billion dollar industry in this country. From doctors, to special wings in hospitals, to massive cancer centers throughout the country, to "research" into curing cancer, there are quite a few influential people that don't want to see some little pill come in and wipe out their livelihoods.
Not that I think one miracle pill would cure something as complex and diverse as cancer anyway

Human trials still in the early stages. Will be a good while before available for broad clinical use. Will be interesting to see how humans react to it.

Jobs had the most treatable form of pancreatic cancer but avoided traditional treatment in favor of alternative medicine and diet interventions until it was too late.

Whats funny about this is the "science" crowd would have picked one treatment, say chemo, and not let you do any other and call it horse cancer treatment if you wanted to try other methods.
