I’m a salt on watermelon person. It makes it sweeter.

Salt - because I love myself. The wife is full of self-loathing, so she's a no salt kinda gal.

Used to be salt until my heart problems and low salt diet. Still miss the taste of salt on watermelon.

We used to grow a huge patch, so you could get them fresh and just eat the hearts. For those, no salt needed or wanted.

Salt does go on the ones I now get from the store.

Petey Greene eating watermelon is the best thing ever. You just put a TWANG of salt on it. I hope everyone has seen this gem from 1982 about "How to eat watermelon"

Salt here too. My wife freaks out when I break out the shaker, but I don't tell her how to eat hers and won't let her tell me how to eat mine.

If you like refreshing fruit dishes give this one a try.

Take an apple, cut it in half, core it then slice it thin. Toss the slices in a bowl, sprinkle with salt, black pepper, add some olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Mix it well to coat all pieces and refrigerate to eat later when cold.

One of my favorites on a hot day.
