Lincecum has a 19 WAR.
The next crop of HOF pitchers with multiple Cy Youngs, for reference
Verlander 78.8
Kershaw 76.5
Scherzer 72.1

He's basically Terrell Davis of modern MLB.
Davis however got in the NFL hof because it's an absolute joke now so they let in.

Is Tim Lincecum a poor man’s Mike Scott ?

I know I'm getting old when we are talking about Limcecum's HOF candidacy.

His run of dominance was too short.

David Cone isn’t in the HOF and his career numbers dwarf Lincecum.

There are a few guys with multiple MVPs that aren’t in the HOF

Because he did not have to retire at the peak of his prime like Sandy Koufax

It was too short of a run. He was really good for like 4 or 5 years, and then fell off a cliff relative to what he had been. In my opinion, you gotta be elite for at least 8 to 10 years, or you don't have a body of work that's worthy of HOF consideration.
But I've seen some guys who were never really "elite", but just good for a long time, who got in. So you never know what might happen.

HOF, not HOF, who gives a frick? Tim made his coin, won two Cy Young's, three world series', threw two no hitters, and was an inspiration to all the small kids.
The Hall of Fame would be a mere pittance to him. What? Travel to upstate New York and shake hands with a bunch of nerds and has-been jocks? That's a fricking waste of time to anyone who is still living life rather than looking it in the rear view mirror.

He wasn’t good enough long enough

That’s only 2 exceptional seasons. That’s not a hof career

I’m a huge Astros fan and have been since 1980. I still don’t understand how Biggio got into the Hall of Fame. I know he had 3,060 hits and like 600 doubles but he played 20 seasons. I’m glad he is in . I never thought that he was a dominant 2B man.
