Fell today.
Seemed like a very minor pileup on a straight piece of road. Pretty sure Cav was the only one who fell. I haven’t seen a great video shot of it yet.

When did he break it, on a fall today or sometime else?
Peloton came over a climb @60k to go and slowed down resulting in the accordion affect to traverse down the peloton casuing Cav to go down. He tried to get up by pushing off his right arm but immediately went back to the ground. So he definitely broke his collarbone or clavicle. Also he was literally the only person to go down.
I’m honestly pissed. This is such bullshite man.

Such a sad way to go out for him especially if it it really is the last one. Everyone in UK tv is certainly acting like he isn't coming back.
I wonder if he regrets the year at Sky, couple of stages that year where if he was at HTC they reel in the break but Sky refused

Next update to post 2 results summary QC stage 6 winner. I saw Jonas listed as winner and hoped I missed a Pogacar relegation.
Thanks for the thread and updates.

Really fricked up way for Cav to leave the Tour. shite happens that can’t be explained. Long wait for the Dome ends tomorrow. With the rest day coming, this should be explosive.

Collarbone is being reported now.
Cav is my favorite sprinter of all time, as much for his interviews as for his pedaling. However, I did not want him to break Eddie's record because that is one thing that keeps Eddie in the collective consciousness of modern fans and Eddie sits on a different level than every other cyclist and should be swept into the dustbin of history.
I think the cycling gods agree and they had their finger on the scales. Yesterday he had a mechanical in the sprint when his derailleur wouldn't keep the chain on the small cog and today he has a freak low-speed accident and breaks his collarbone.
Kudos to Mads on a great LONG sprint. WvA was carrying serious speed and would have won if it wasn't out of position at the wrong time.

Totally did. As a huge WVA fan, this Tour has been disappointing for him and he’s in great form.

So basically they are forcing you to get Peacock if you want to watch it live? Surely there are other options out there. I am all ears.

Interesting that Matteo is on the Aeroad and not the ultimate.
And Gorka is on an ultimate.
Matteo still looking like he is riding within himself

The no fans and slow speed mixed with the announcers’ excitement makes for a weird viewing experience.
