I worked as a lab tech on campus working with mycobacteria and I only made 5.25/hr. Kids these days.

Imagine getting seven raises and it equates to $2 per hour.

A combined total growth of 15.3% in a raise. If you started at a decent salary (say $100k) then maybe but that is still only a $15k/yr bump.

When I started on campus at LSU it was $4.75. I remember how excited I was when it got jumped to $5.25.

And honestly, 7 raises in two years is awesome, even if they are small/marginal ones. Sure, it’s not a huge amount, but it’s also an intro level type of position. I don’t see the problem.
