We won’t be getting any top 3 classes anymore. Unless something changes, we aren’t going to have classes like UGA, Bama, Ohio St, Texas, A&M etc. I think folks know this already, but will try to sugarcoat it.

The elite programs, are you fricking kidding me? Only one of the teams you named has more championships in football than LSU over the past 20 years. Uga has 2, Texas 0, a&m 0, Ohio state 1, LSU 3 and played for 4. Are you in denial or perhaps you ain't paying attention.

Think Texas has 1 but I agree with your stance!

I agree we should be consistently top 5. We’ll see what happens

You're correct but you also cherry picked around all the highly ranked recruits that contributed. Every championship team has 3 stars and unexpect4d contributors. They also have a fair amount of blue chips. That team ended up with like 30 draftees. Sisters of the poor I tell you.
Until we prove we can start winning a good share of the "national" recruitments and stand toe to toe(or the willingness) with the rich in NIL this class and last years will be the norm. Last year got glossed over with the only "win" in one of those being constantly thrown down our throat as evidence we are playing ball. The Womack get. Guess batting near the Mendoza line is acceptable now.

Harold Perkins didn’t come here for money. It’s about the sales pitch

Holy shite. Has Pirate become a posi-tiger ? If The Pirate King knows there is no reason to freak out right, then you can be damn sure there's no reason to freak out right now.
If there were he'd be making 5 threads a day foretelling the demise of the LSU Football Program. Yet here we are. Bizarro world.

LSU side doesn’t think he leaves the state. On3 vs 247

Joe Burrow, CEH, JJ, Jamar Chase, Tmoss, Patrick Queen, Kary Vincent, Damien Lewis: none were 5 stars... so basically we won the NC with these 3 & 4 stars. Our best players that year.
When will people begin to realize this. Coach them up & development can equal another teams 10-14 5* players.
In '07, Matt Flynn, Jacob Hester, Craig Steltz, Brett Helms, Herman Johnson, Ali Highsmith, Chevis Jackson, Jonathan Zenon, Tyson Jackson, Kirston Pittman... I could go on and on, all 3 & 4* players. If a player develops, he can equal a team full of 5 stars.

Keep getting downvoted for whatever reason for this, but what can Texas truly offer aside from short term financial gain? How many drafts have come on and gone in recent years without a prominent Longhorn in the early rounds? Sark doesn’t seem like the guy, I can go on and on. Meanwhile Kelly and company are developing, rapidly. Perkins looks like the best prospect for his draft class, not to mention Campbell, Jones, Taylor, and company showing out, early. To each their own, but I still can’t see Mack and McKinley leaving Louisiana.

Damn, is Oklahoma a rich state too? They must be to be pulling the 2 5* DL guys and/or have a shot at McKinley. Amazing after the season Venables had in year 1...
They're panicking. They're in a tough spot because lots of their $$$ guys don’t want to commit money to a coach they don’t think will make it.

Well, looks like someone who is an Okie backer is ponying up...

Oklahoma and Texas are in for an extremely rude awakening when they venture in the SEC.
