Let me guess.. Elio will use they/them pronouns and be gender fluid and his classmates make fun of them and aren’t inclusive and that’s why they can’t make any friends

Wouldn’t be a surprise, the aliens being involved give them flexibility with how they portray sexuality.
On a positive note I like that they’re using a kid with an eye patch as the hero. Can’t think of another movie that has done it. Lots of kids feel out of place after an eye injury.
