That is what the left wants us to do. They will get no such satisfaction from me.

I'm in the process of buying beach front in Palawan. I'll start building my house buy the end of this year. Philippines is the obvious pick for me.

I’ve heard Portugal was a good destination. It’s one of the few that’s fairly easy to emigrate to. That’s not the case in many countries, especially when you get older

Portugal and the Northern Coast of Spain are top tier.

"The Philippines sounds like a great spot for you"

How so? Let's hear your reasons.

If you have the GUTS to answer, WHICH YOU DO NOT

Portugal.

Don't underestimate the jumble of the Portuguese language. If someone is speaking Spanish, I can mostly get it. Italian or French, I can mostly get it. Portuguese seems to drop all three into a single sentence and I have no idea WTF is going on.

A problem with most European countries will be their membership in the EU/EEU. Ireland, famous for dairy production is slated to have to kill 200k cows because Brussels said so. The Netherlands and forced farm closures. Eastern European countries are "safer," because the Poles, Hungarians, etc., are willing to cut off their nose to spite their face to keep religion in their society, etc. Croatia, Bosnia are similar, but not to the same scale.

Israeli is expensive, but is about to relax gun license rules. Turkey is off the list after Erdogan's re-election.

Ha. I'm a government contractor, I have a Phippna wife and kid living in Las Pinas now, I have a small store there and I've been a dozen times this in the last year.
(We)the US government is building 6 bases here staring this year, one is just about 3 hours from my place in Palawan.
Lol some people here aren't stuck in the same place there grew up in. Some of us actually make money and can literally do anything we want.

I've been trying to figure out the best American location but with what Chyna is doing in Cuba and potentially setting up an attack Fox at some point I just don't know. Florida was looking really good. Texas was too but that state looks to be a major disappointment future wise.

This current govt is just no longer trustworthy as it goes after the people it will need to defend it while it invites our enemies to our gates. Really is said. I could handle fighting the ghey propaganda on its own but this govt really is making it tough.

I'll probably still find the best option here and hunker down, but finding an alternative outside our borders is a must for sure. Unfortunately the western hemisphere isn't looking that great either long term.

Ie ..if we can't get out govt to defeat Chyna somehow we really won't have anywhere to go as as they are definitely being left to their own will.

Not just any country will take you. Learn to speak Norwegian or you can't go there.

That's what some could call targets for Chinese cruise missiles.

You do raise a good point though, there is a lot of English spoken, the people are usually very friendly (admittedly, the last time I flew out of Clark AFB was in the 80s). Ton of Catholics, which seems important to some.

However, Duerte seems a bit of a wildcard. Erdogan in Turkey is an Islamist shithead, but not Taliban levels of it. Duerte says nice things about killing drug dealers in the streets, but that kind of authoritarianism nearly always gets turned around in a way that isn't a net positive for certain groups.

Well, money and a "Phippna" wife, plus that kind of freedom sounds good...

Hell, that sounds really good!

Philippines is an easy choice

I'm definitely considering this when I retire in 5 years. It's not "taking my ball and going home" over politics though. More of getting some adventure in before my body starts to inevitably fail on me. I follow some Philippines vloggers on YouTube and they seem very happy while living in paradise on very little money by U.S. standards. Other potential destinations include Thailand, Indonesia, Belize, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Colombia.

Are you Filipino? Foreigners can't own land here. You can by a condo but not land.
