I've seen this topic come and go on the poly board over the years but haven't seen it lately. For those of you that have at least considered it at one time or another, have you gotten any closer to pulling the trigger with the unprecedented level of bullshite coming out of Washington? If the Democrats win in 2024, will that be your tipping point? What are the conditions that would make you pull anchor?

Of course, the obligatory question is always: where would you go? And yes - I have thought about it lately (I'm not tied down). Please - no lectures on "the grass is always greener".

Not what you think anymore. Lots of anti American sentiment now.

I've heard similar reports about CR. Also, heard a friend the other day speak highly of Panama.

The problem is that places more free than the U.S. today will be totally woke left wing tomorrow.
Ten years ago posters said 'New Zealand is the place to go.'
Not anymore.

I’ve got news for you. Most countries are infinitely worse.

The best things about Latin American countries is that there is always someone's palm you can grease to ignore the rifles you smuggled in, etc.

Disagree. I think there's plenty of places where people still have their heads screwed on.

There are a lot of ExPats there. You need to love beaches, fishing, jungles, and snakes. Sounds like a great place for the ATs. I'd post the best place, but too many would show up there.

So, you are saying that is still the case? Knew it used to be a good ExPAt option.

You'll feel the same in 5 years.

Try to stop what is coming.

My pecker-checker doctor was from Argentina. Staunch Republican... and ballroom dancer. Really cool guy with a keen appreciation for the virtuous lifestyle. Generally speaking, I wonder if they're all like that....

Probably true, but the export is coming from the USA and we will be even worse.
