So, you are saying that is still the case? Knew it used to be a good ExPAt option.
I haven't heard anything from them recently to indicate it's no longer a good option. Getting a bit more expensive, but where isnt... I know some issues from Brazil are starting to spill over, but doesn't seem to be a major problem in most of the country.

Correct. TODAY. What about next year?

If I could figure out how to do my job remotely at a high level I’d cash out and I’d be in Guanacaste tomorrow. The culture here is shite, the politics fixed and corrupt, the quality of life is shite because of social pathologies, and American women are hopelessly unhappy. Find me one that isn’t terminally disgruntled and I’ll show you a foreigner.I spent 4 months abroad in 2021 and Im suddenly ready to do it again. Especially since the Dems are dead set on National Suicide.

Correct. And that's why the theory of presumption says: 'If you're not sure, stay where you are.'

Believe it or not, several places in Mexico have become popular destinations for expats.
San Miguel de Allende, Ajijic, and Mérida are popular landing spots, along with quite a few others.

the only safe place to escape the socialist groomers is russia
they dont play that alphabet groomer shite and they are a more free society than the USA has been for years now.
sure its like going back in time to 1950s lifestyle, but its a trade off im ok with to be in a place where people who want to rape and mutilate kids are put to death rather than hailed as being on the right side of progress

the obligatory question is always: where would you go?
Not going anywhere. I am concerned for my childrens' and grand childrens' future safety and well being. I will stay here and resist my country's enemies and their enemies until I am dead.

Thanks, was just curious. Someone who posts on another board recently said he was still liking it in Ecuador after a year plus. Said sometimes the flights had been an issue, but that was the only issue he has had.

The wife and I have been twice. Beautiful country, friendly natives, and money goes along way especially once you're away from the tourist hotspots. The only negative is its very difficult for private citizens to own firearms.

This.
I remember NZ being close to the #1 suggestion. Then they started confiscating guns at an alarming rate culminating in full-on lunacy.
The last bitch resigned.

Interesting ... travel to and from San Miguel de Allende & Ajijic would be concerning to me. Re: Mérida ... have heard that Cancun resort is not as safe as it used to be. If not for safety issues, Mexico would be attractive from the standpoint of being close to US and cheap.

Understood. You certainly have to be careful when traveling.
Fyi … I just did an internet search.

Mexico is home to more North American expat retirees than any other country in the world. Retirement south of the border couldn’t be more convenient. It’s one of few overseas retirement destinations that you can pack up and move to in your car. Mexico and these cities in particular offer a low cost of living, warm weather and a wide diversity of lifestyle options. Many also feature thriving expat communities.

Puerto Vallarta.
Mazatlán.
Oaxaca.
Durango.
Ajijic, Lake Chapala.
Morelia.
San Miguel de Allende.
San Cristóbal de las Casas.
Zihuatanejo.
Los Cabos.
Loreto.
From relaxing beach towns to cosmopolitan cities, the challenge is deciding where to retire in Mexico. Consider these potential retirement spots in Mexico where you can seek adventure overseas but don't have to give up all the comforts of home.
