Tickets are technically revocable licenses to enter a property that can be revoked at the discretion of the property owner (LSU) for anyone who hasn’t taken a law school contracts class.

I have taken those classes and the revocation of a ticket in Louisiana gives rise to an action for breach of contract and damages.

Our tickets get moved every year during the postseason. There’s never any opposing fans in our seats. At least most years they don’t kick us out of the grandstand.

Damn those are great seats. I’d be livid too OP. Putting you in the bleachers is bullshite. Go sit in your normal seats and make them move you

Wasn’t being serious. Either way, situation sucks. Wish we had some type of power to fix it.

The situation does indeed stink for the OP. I think I was behind him at the ticket office this morning because I heard him mention Les Miles wife to me and the old guy behind me. I told him I’d gladly buy the tickets if he wanted to sell them. Before leaving, he asked the guy manning the window how he went about selling them on Stub Hub. I’m sure he was compensated for his pain and suffering!

As i understood the rule a couple of years ago, the host had to "hold" 200 contiguous reserved seats".
For four-team regionals, the host school is required to provide 200 tickets per visiting school, 600 total, between first and third base. For a super regional, the host school is required to provide 600 tickets to the visiting school between first and third base with only 200 of them in continuous blocks.

What LSU is doing is using the rule to remarket reserved season ticket seats which are not sold to visitors.
Thus politicians, local VIPS and "Les Miles' wife" take these seats which belong to season ticket holders.
This stinks and as far as I can tell, is not required.
You have no proof of this other than your imagination. The fat cats that go to LSU baseball games are more likely to be in a suite drinking alcohol than rubbing elbows with common people in the stands.

No legal standing tbh, you do not “own” the seats, simply rent them for the season. People have tried before, it doesn’t have the legal legs.

Awesome. Nobody is saying they can’t do it. It’s a shitty way to treat your loyal supporters.

Oh boy..
I “have no proof” other than those who have lost their seats. Some of those who have appeared in this thread, including OP.
Who are you covering for?
Or do you just appear to oppose fat cats”, as you put it, who pay exorbitant prices for their seats, only to see them taken away?
Are you old enough to have ever made these types of economic sacrifices?
