Wasn't on my Tuesday morning bingo card

Not even sure how this will work. Do guys get to keep their guaranteed money? Do PGA teams emerge? How do you square the nonprofit PGA with for-profit PIF owned LIV?

Some lawyers and bankers are getting new boats.

It will be fascinating to see how they handle these big, fat LIV contracts. If I signed one of those, I don't want to go back to the grind.

What the frick?

So is this LIV scooping up the entire tour with Saudi money or is this LIV crawling back after sort of flopping?

PGA can't fight that Saudi money. Phil wins again.

I think it’s most likely LIV realizing it couldn’t be sustainable and taking a deal. Shocked they were able to work something out, but I’m hopeful this is great news for the fans.

I mean, he's the winner here. Got a financial bail out and now gets to come back to the Tour.

Agree with this. I know the Saudi's are loaded, but I can't see them endlessly dumping money into something with no return on investment.

PGA is okay with Saudi money now that they're getting some

PIF is prepared to invest billions of new capital into the new entity, CNBC'S David Faber reported on Tuesday. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

exactly. Get all the big guys back together for designated events, majors, and cup events.

In a surprise announcement on Tuesday, the tour, along with the DP World Tour and the wealth fund, said the recent rivals had agreed to create a “new, collectively owned, for-profit entity to ensure that all stakeholders benefit from a model that delivers maximum excitement and competition among the game’s best players.”
