Good enough to tease us. Not good enough to win w college baseball best two prospects by far. Far better players we can hope for in the future.

I know man, it’s fricking bullshite that he couldn’t get a national seed, which is the whole point of the season.

Fire him already!

He has one year with pitiful level pitching that the previous coach left. And one year that’s not even finished after getting a national seed. Another dumb post.

I disagree with this assertion wholeheartedly. There are things that he probably needs to work on, having the team more detail oriented for one. But I believe he’s been in a fricking national championship series not just the CWS in general.

He’s a good coach. He’s one of the better coaches in the nation. We will continue to recruit amazingly and field talented ball clubs as long as he is here.

Now, that does not guarantee that he’ll win one or two or seven national championships. But it goes a long fricking way.

You do know you have to field a team with 9 players and not 2. Also, you do know 1 of those 2 only gets to play once a week right?

He has potential but like anybody that wants to be great and sustain success he will have to adapt his coaching style.

If we make it to Omaha, will you retract this? Or is championship or bust?

What does one have to accomplish to be a championship level coach? Make it to the CWS? Win the CWS?

I would say no one is going to out recruit him and that’s half the battle. He has been there before so I would say you are full of it. I also think though he makes some bad decisions with the line up sometimes and in game. His philosophy the last two years has been homers and doubles and he sacrifices defense over offense. For example Jobert plays a better third base than White. White should be playing first base or DH. His teams here have not been good defensively. they can’t bunt, he doesn’t steal that often, and his pitching decisions are questionable half of the time. If we are hitting that covers a lot of that up. The biggest problems he has right now other than a weak bullpen because of injuries and not enough people stepping up is clutch situational hitting and several of his players strike out too much.

Lol some truly awful takes on here today. To react this way after a meaningless game is astounding. The real season starts next weekend. We locked up what we needed to going into postseason.
