He lacks a defense and he doesn’t seem to interested in fixing that.

Another season of Alex Grinch.

I certainly wouldn’t have James Franklin in the top 10

I think Fickell is a great coach but I’ll say this. Both Fickell and Day took over excellent OSU teams.
Fickell went 6-7
Day went 13-1 and went to the playoffs
I get your point, but idk if it's completely fair. It was Fickell's first time in charge and he took over in the chaos of "is Tressel coming back/is Tressel gone". What he did at Cincy is more impressive than anything Day has done thus far. Outside of being an elite recruiter, he's pretty average at actually coaching ball.

Riley isn't a complete coach, he's an offensive coordinator. He's too high. No way I'd include him above Rhule, Aranda, and others.

I think Riley and Franklin are too high, but not a terrible list

The only names that should be on the list are

1. Saban
2. Smart
3. Swinney

You can't be a top coach without winning a championship, I don't care how many regular season wins you have compiled!

So Jimbo is the 4th best coach in CFB?

It's not bad. I'd swap Day and Riley.

Kelly might be a spot or two too high but that'll sort itself out soon enough.

I get the Fickell over Day sentiment.

It’s pretty much impossible to fail at Ohio State, big dog in the Midwest with less competition. They’re high profile enough where they can grab some southern players as well. Les Miles could post 10 wins there.

Lincoln Riley has done nothing to belong on a top 10 coaches list. He won a weak big 12 with loads of talent, and carried on the OU tradition of getting stomped in the post season.

I disagree with not having Willie Fritz in the top 25 of college coaches

Tulane was a fricking joke and nearly dropped football and he turned them into a top 15 team

I don't think he's the end all be all but some of yall (the fact that it's mostly texas and lsu fans saying this isn't lost on me) are lettign blind hatred get in the way of rational thinking. Sure the guy gets killed int he postseason, but he generally faces MUCH better teams. LSu fans think the guy sucks because he got killed by lsu in 2019, btu I mean who didn't? He's never had a good defense and he can't make it past the semis but you know what? He's made the playoffs semi-regularly and routinely puts up one fo the best offenses in america. If you truly think there are 9 other coaches that deserve to be higher...why? I mean the top couple are a given but whoever you're putting at 7/8/9...I'm reasonably certain taht those guys aren't winning natties or rackign up multiple playoff appearances either.

Who’s above him?

He’s great in the regular season.

And after that he sucks. He builds his from outside in. Compared to the right way. From inside out.. there should have been ZERO way that Tulane beat them last year if you compare the football programs against each other.
