I’ve recently decided to replace after-work workouts with getting up super early and hitting the gym before work.

Normally I drink a cup of coffee first thing in the morning as I get my mind right. Should I replace coffee with my stimulant preworkout? I always like a bunch of caffeine to hit the weights.
Any other tips?

I roll out of bed at 5:15 and take my pre workout then go workout. I sometimes have a cup of coffee with my eggs afterwards. Today is one of those days

This is one of the reasons I’m asking.
Coffee makes me stay regular in the bathroom. Not sure a Monster or C4 will have the same effect.

I roll out of bed at 4:15 and go straight to the garage, after 10 min warm up exercises and stretching I'm gtg! I use to chew on some coffee beans but I've gotten use to being an early riser now.

I’m 4:30 and take about 30 mins of mobility and warmup drills before I’m ready to go, but I also am now used to it and don’t need a boost.

I'm up at 4:30 and at the gym by 5:00-5:15

I use a pre workout of:

Electrolytes
STIM Pre-Workout
Creatine HCL

This gets me going and provides what I need to get through my workout. I use these products because they contain no sucralose or other fake stuff or fillers. Many STIM Pre workouts are loaded with artificial sugars/sweeteners, fillers, flavorings, emulsifiers etc that are just awful for you.

I would get rid of the preworkout altogether. Coffee, raw/unfiltered honey, and Redmond's Real Salt or Pink Salt will do the trick.

Skip the pre-workout all together as that shite is bad for you. Coffee after workout for morning poop and caffeine.

I’d just stick with the coffee. I’ve been doing a single cup of black coffee before my morning workouts for 5+ years.

Up at 3:30AM, mix my pre with 1 scoop unflavored protein, then eat a rice krispie treat. So far it's been working fine. For me the protein and rice krispie was a game changer. Currently using the CBUM pre.

I used to drink coffee but would often end up needing to take a shite in the middle of my workout. My go to was pre-workout and a bowl of oatmeal mixed with protein powder. Also chug a glass of water before you go. Easy for lack of hydration to impact performance first thing in the morning

And do lots of mobility. I'm pretty sure the way I hurt myself was doing heavy front squats right after waking up without a good warmup bc I was running late for work. Haven't been able to lift heavy since

If the coffee works, stick with that until it doesn’t.

I have been getting up around 445 for 10 years now for my workout at local gym. I have about 4 ounces of apple juice with a stimulant preworkout and 5 grams of creatine monohydrate powder mixed in.
