The US is a melting pot of cultures that many believed/hoped would make the nation stronger, the cultural Marxists have used these differences to divide Americans.

China is largely a homogeneous society.....they are not nearly as susceptible to cultural divisions like the US.....other than potential dissatisfaction with economic stratification/classes the Chinese are marching together so far.

The US is being foolishly distracted with SJW insanity like ESG, DEI, climate change, etc.

China has made great gains in the game of geopolitics by shaking hands, distributing cash and making trade deals....essentially buying favor, we know all too well how that works in the Imperial City aka Washington DC.

The US has spent tens of trillions of dollars on US military superiority over the past 60 years trying to convince lesser nations to see things our way.....or else!

China is using a more effective strategy to gain trust from other nations and they're not being distracted with an internal political faction/ideology that pushes ESG, DEI and climate change foolishness.

I wonder which nation has the best strategy for global dominance.

In many ways yes, but if you look closer you begin to realize this isn't nearly as true as the CCP wants you to think and there's a lot of history behind why that's the case.

There are multiple types of Chinese. I believe the ones in power are Han Chinese and they aren’t necessarily the biggest group.

That being said, I think their philosophy has been to beat down their own people and make them think they have no shot, so they go along with the party’s bullshite. That changes for some reason and they have problems. Especially considering the demographics of their country.

Having lots of unmarried men isn’t good for a society.

Another thing...

Chinese can take suffering. Chinese can sleep on a concrete floor with no a/c and eat a bowl of rice a day, no problem.

We’re not about that life no mo.

Our capacity to withstand suffering doesn’t stand a chance.

China is screwed from a demographic, energy and food supply perspective. They are trying to solve their energy and food supply issues with Russia, Saudis and India (and surrounding nations) respectively. Their demographic problem cannot be solved. Their one child policy will hurt them pretty badly. China will be just a bunch of old people.

Our only chance is demographics. Their one child (and it's OK to drown your daughters so you can have a boy) policy is a huge problem. They have billions of people but few under 30 women. They are the oldest society in the world, this might sink them.

We've built China's industrial infrastructure on greed. We've built their military. We've given them advantages with terrible trade deals and environmental politics that cripple our remaining industry while they are exempted...again, for greed.

China is the product of America's greed. The SJW and other idiocy, the product of bad parenting and baseless arrogance.

Is this supposed to be a conclusion to some argument you presented in your post? What is the US strategy? What is the Chinese strategy?

What choice do they have? Its not like the CCP allows for a wide range of diverse thought. It why the Chinese have a disadvantage to some degree when it come to technological innovation.

I will gladly accept the divisions of thought and culture we have in the US vs living in what is basically 1984's Oceania.

Uh... we do the same.

Name actual Chinese allies besides Russia, North Korea and Iran...

Russia has been neutered in Ukraine. NK can't feed its populace and Iran is currently having massive protests against its regime.

China also will lose half its population in about 20 years. They can't rule the world regardless. Everyone dislikes them and they're on a ticking clock just to take Taiwan back (highly unlikely they won't/can't).

Not so as others have addressed.
quote:

China has made great gains in the game of geopolitics by shaking hands, distributing cash and making trade deals....essentially buying favor, we know all too well how that works in the Imperial City aka Washington DC.

Also not so. Their “Belt and Road” program is more akin to predatory loans than gifts of friendship. And the recipients of these loans are starting to default.
quote:

The US has spent tens of trillions of dollars on US military superiority over the past 60 years trying to convince lesser nations to see things our way.....or else!

Not so. Where is the “or else” for Cuba, Venezuela, Belarus, current Afghanistan, Pakistan, South Africa, Myanmar, Turkey, North Korea, Iran, etc.?
quote:

China is using a more effective strategy to gain trust from other nations and they're not being distracted with an internal political faction/ideology that pushes ESG, DEI and climate change foolishness.

Again untrue. They are being extremely aggressive to their neighbors with their new found strength. Perhaps you’ve heard of the artificial islands they are creating and militarizing in the South China Sea? China is claiming international waters and areas claimed by neighboring countries as their territorial waters. In the process they have pissed off Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Brunei, Indonesia, and Malaysia. They angered Australia by boycotting coal. This resulted in Australia finding new customers and China experiencing rolling blank outs!
Also, that wasteful American military you decry as useless, can blocked the Chinese coast preventing the import of food and fuel, preventing the export of their manufactured goods causing economic and physical starvation in the dark.

I wonder which nation has the best strategy for global dominance.

Forget global dominance! Today’s Communist China will not survive.

And finally from others:
quote:

Chinese can take suffering. Chinese can sleep on a concrete floor with no a/c and eat a bowl of rice a day, no problem.

This is not the China of the rice patty of yesteryear. Because of the one child policy spoiled only-children are common and the young are disproportionately urban now.

Don’t get me wrong. There will be pain, death, and destruction in America. But I’d rather be here than China.

Ignorant post...china has had many revolutions, it's multi-lingual, multi-divided, aging population, too many men, not enough women. China is cozying up with other autocratic regimes. But you don't like the current administration so the US is losing bc "woke".
