More like invisible, as in nonexistent, as this didn’t happen.

OP baiting y’all with New Orleans is a shithole and catching - a trolling troll, if you will.

Waiting on NOPD to arrive. Been about 1.5 hours. Was parked right by a restaurant. Walked to my car and was told to give my wallet and keys. NOBODY helped around me (3 people) Didn’t take the car but held me up at gunpoint until I handed them the keys. A lot of fun.

Probably wouldn’t happen in Folsom, but the north shore is full. Good luck.

I think everyone needs to realize this. Very few people will actually "help" you when it comes to this crap.

Take care of yourself.

Considering he survived, I don’t think reaching for your gun when already being held at gunpoint is going to do much.

Not a good place to be. At that point, it's up to them as to whether or not you keep living. Work and train like hell to always be aware of your surroundings. That feral bastard chose you as a victim because he thinks you're the path of least resistance. Try hard not to be that guy.

Clever tactic, NOPD. Keep crime numbers low by not responding to reports of crimes and marking them as "Gone On Arrival, Unfounded".

Nopd isn't coming baw. We reported about 3 of the 5 car break ins we got last year.

This. From personal experience they are not coming. Had my car hit while parked and shoved out into the street. No cops. Had my neighbor's wife attacked by her ex. No cops. Had to drive her to the police station and it was shift change, they tried to convince her to go home because nobody wanted to do paper work at shift change.

I love NOLA but it's time for some change, lots of it. NOLA is never going to be a "fixed city" but it's too broken right now.

It's made up stories like the OP's that diminish all the good people out of town posters who rush to post on the OT every time they hear from a friend something bad about New Orleans.

They didn’t want your car. They took your wallet to get your address. They took your keys to gain access to your residence because they knew you’re not going to be home for a few hours while you wait on NOPD.

This is very likely what happened.

I’m as pro 2A as they come, but if someone gets the jump on you with a gun, there’s not much you can do unless you’re well trained in hand to hand. It’s not worth risking your life over a few material items.

Were you trying to eat at Tito’s Ceviche and Pisco? I have been wondering how that place is. When St. Charles Tavern closed I figured that building would either be demolished or turned into a personal injury law office or something like that. High traffic spot but rough, rough area. The people who own Tito’s are true urban pioneers.

While you’re right on the first part, how is one to know what the armed thug POS is going to do?

The press will report: Blond haired, blue eyed, white male with tie and sport coat on, and a religious cross pinned on his lapel.
