I believe it was but he is probably looking at a 5 year deal with much more guaranteed money.

I'm not giving him that contract.

We win the division with Carr and are arguably a top 4 team in the NFC.

What DL are you projecting we end up with?

Leave it to a Saints blind loyalist to argue our 7-10 is better than a 13-4 playoff team based on a loss to them.

That's not what he said. He said with carr we'd be better.

Didn't the Vikings have a negative point differential this season? They were a really fortunate team this year

Never said our team last year was better. We are a better team with a better QB than dalton. Dalton is garbage. Carr is a lot better. And no 35m a year for him is not what I'd do

That's why you can't get out of this hell in one season.

But, the objective would be to eventually get out of it in 2-3 years while accumulating as much young talent as possible (high draft picks).

If you get Carr, in 3 years, you are still 3 years away from the rebuild turning the corner.

I think you'll end up getting your way bc I expect carr to choose the jets. Hopefully McKee or hooker hit... I expect us to draft one of them

Run it back with Dalton, draft a QB if the value is there. Keep the cap as flexible as possible going forward. With or without Carr you’re not likely winning a Super Bowl in 2023.

New Orleans is not a market you can tank in. You have to have at least a chance of competing to be attractive to players. If we go bottom 5, we are the Jets of the last 20 years.

He signed a 3/121.5 (40.5)
Roughly 41mil would have been guaranteed, so a little less.

40.5 puts him above stafford/dak - would have been 7th highest paid

35 puts him him tied for 9th with Kirk Cousins

Reality is:
Top half paid are 2nd contract QBs
Bottom half paid are rookie deal QBs

13th is 29.5mil (Tannehill)
14th is 14mil (Winston)

3/100mil with 60mil guaranteed would probably get him to bite honestly. that would put him below goff, above wentz

Yeah that's fine and all but still couldn't hang with Top 4 or 5 teams in AFC if needed be with him. Time to rebuild and stop prolonging this bs.

Dalton was 20/28 over 230 yards and no ints with a td but he was shitty that game?

Pretty sure we lost that game b/c Lattimore got beat like a drum all game long by Jefferson. Go rewatch and learn football.

No hes not in the drivers seat. Dont be stupid. Nobody paying him 35 mill a year. He going to be at home when training camp starts so he better lower his price tag

He also was a statue and although no ints, he had a huge turnover that gave the Vikes a free 3 points. What did we lose by again?

He did not have him shook lmao. He just half assed his route b/c he wasn’t expecting it to be thrown at him.

Brown still had almost a 100 yard game and scored a td. Pretty great game considering Minshew was the qb.

He definitely outplayed the 35 million dollar man Cousins that game. It was a bad fumble and cost us 3. But how about the other 25 points the defense gave up? Just gloss over that fact?

Not to mention Harty also fumbled near midfield that game possibly costing us points with great field position but worse led to 3 points by the Vikes. How much did we lose by again? Forgot about that I bet.

But like I said Jefferson absolutely drug his nuts over Lattimore that entire game getting catch after catch on third down leading to sustained drives and points. Tough assignment, but he was the main reason we lost. Lattimore is being paid top 3 corner money to not get bitch slapped like that.

Go rewatch the game, learn something, and then come comment correctly.

Are you related to Andy Dalton or something? I've never seen someone defend such a shitty QB so much.

Jefferson is a top 5 wr. He destroys all CBs. I would love to have a qb that can win a game for us. Dalton didn't do that once.

It's ok that you don't know football. Its a tough sport to follow when you're retarded

won't they have to keep it up for 2-3 more years to get under cap? If so, a 3-year contract for carr makes sense bc you really have no choice but to try and win.

Dude that 2-3 more years then becomes like a decade

We can't just insert $35M/year over that 3 years and get the same results.
