Have y'all seen the video of the teacher dropping truth bombs about fat people?

This is a few months old. Think they fired him for his rant.

Can't offend the tubbies.

Fat people are disgusting.

Thread was on here a couple of weeks ago. He's already back at school teaching....as he should be!

Sad that a fellow teacher would say this when they (or whatever pronoun they identify as, I don’t want to assume) know how many in the profession are teachers of size. This teacher must have missed empathy class in teaching school

What class is he teaching? What are the ages of the students?

A teacher has to weigh the value of a statement against their need for income. There are plenty of things I say in private that I would never say to my students, even if they are true. The one correction he could have made here was to not speak in generalities.

Fat people are usually fat because they overeat and under exercise. I do know people who run marathons, eat amazingly, and are still overweight. For some people it is simply body-type. He also ignores that a large percentage of people that are overweight are so because of mental issues. Fault is hard to assign there, but often it falls on the parents. The societal response (as with trans, race confusion, etc.) is to excuse the deficiency as an aspect of uniqueness, instead of acknowledging that it is a sign of illness which can be treated or at least managed.

I remember most coaches being fat themselves, with insecurity issues. Lots of yelling and bravado considering the situation.
