Negatives of owning a Tesla?

Still love my car, but being realistic she’s getting to the age where little things are not what’s going to break.
Hence, I am to the very initial butt sniffing phase of car shopping. A coworker has a Tesla 3. The thing is nice. That’s the sole reason I am looking. So IB4 the soy boy comments about gas being better and electric sucks balls.
Just wanted to ask you folks on here hoping a couple of legitimate responses. I have a friend who has one, as I mentioned. So I have a real world example to follow concerning any issues.
BTW 0-60 in 3 seconds is fun.

All of it.
Seriously, IMO just a technology that's not quite ready for primetime, costs not withstanding.

I picked up my 2023 Model 3 Performance Mid December and can’t see myself going back to a gas car.
Couple of main reasons why I would never go back to gas for my work car:
My company pays me $275 tax free more on my monthly car package for having electric vs gas.
My company has my car on their insurance
Can’t get this kind of performance out of a gasser without having to pay at least 20% of the gas out of pocket because it doesn’t meet the EPA requirements my company has. Not to mention the price for a mid 11 second sedan is going to be over 100k.
Plus I have two other ICE vehicles for any long trips I need to take.

If you don't care about your road trips taking hours longer due to having to go out of the way to find a charger and waiting 30min+ to charge, go ahead
however, if it's a designated "around town" second car i don't see an issue
eta: and make sure you can afford to buy the $50k+ Tesla outright and be able to take the hit on depreciation

Fit and finish, quality of interior materials.

You’ve never seen an “IB4” post?

I'm sure this will turn into a typical OT EV shite show.

My old boss had Tesla SUV. That thing was in the shop every other week for some reason or another. This was 2016-2019 timeframe, so they may have improved since then. Thing was fun when it worked but just seemed like constant issues. I would get hybrid car to have the option of gas as well instead of going full electric.

Hybrids are the worst of both worlds. They combine the complexity of an EV and ICE. I'm not saying I wouldn't own one, but I'd go into it with that clarity.

The battery costing 10s of thousands of dollars to replace makes it a lot less attractive for a long run.

I had to google because I didn't know....
So basically you have to charge these things at public charging stations? This seems stupid as frick.

How long does it take to charge a Tesla at home?
Here's a breakdown of the charging methods and approximately how long each take to fully charge a Tesla from a low battery: Level 1 AC (120V outlet at home): 20-40 hours. AC Level 2 (Third party chargers/Tesla chargers/Tesla home charger): 8-12 hours. Level 3 DCFC (Tesla Supercharger): 15-25 minutes.

Their interiors are shite
Enjoy having to scroll through touchscreen menus to change the temp, vents, literally anything
Although many cars are like this now, but Tesla was the first and is the worst about it

Buying a Tesla means you're literally supporting Hitler aka Elon Musk

This is the most misunderstood talking point about EVs.
1 - when will it fail, what failure mode do you expect and what will the cost be then?
2 - whats the salvage value of the existing ESS unit?

The vast majority of Tesla never publicly charge.

Tesla's are fine. Just be making parallel car payments to a bank account to pay for replacement batteries.
