First time seeing one. Beautiful bird. Seen west of Holly Beach on a fence post next to the highway then again flying overhead on the way back.

We see those all over in South Texas, but don't think I have ever seen one this far up the coast.

I’ve seen them in the lacassine reserve and in Carlyss a few times. Not often but enough to notice.

That’s one hell of a toupee on that bird.

First started seeing them from Galveston to Sabine area, Then Cameron, Calcasieu and now across Vermilion parishes.
Heard something about deforestation of a part of Mexico. They are scavengers for sure always on roadkill.

Seen these a few times around Morganfield and near Burton, always on a fence post. They are really a beautiful bird.

Saw one in Gueydan the last week of duck season. I was the only one that saw it and some of the guys clowned me; you would have sworn I claimed to see bigfoot.

The cleaned up caracara may look nice, but they will get into the carrion pile with the rest of the buzzards.

That is a stunning bird. Looks like it's from another continent, which I guess it kind of is.

Neat! I’ve only seen them in South and West Texas before. A beautiful, but as others have said, sometimes nasty bird.
