Well, the Louisiana Gulf Coast parishes have lost more than 1,000 square miles of land surface since 1980. That's proof positive of rising seas.
Did you know that Burrwood and Pilottown were names of actual towns in Plaquemines Parish? They're now awash in Gulf sludge.

Oh my God. This was dumb.

Their right boys. The original Pink Pony Pub in Gulf Shores is under water now. They had to rebuild it 200 ft. farther back from the rising waters. It was global warming totally not Hurricane Frederick.

I was on the beach at 2pm today. Just got back from walking the dog on the beach this evening.
The ocean rose 6ft in just that short time between 2PM and 8:30PM !!!
AOC says that by tomorrow our whole island might be underwater.

Underwater Forest
Alabama's 60,000-year-old underwater forest spills its secrets in new documentary
The ancient cypress forest found 60 feet underwater in the Gulf of Mexico, due south of Gulf Shores, Ala., is about 60,000 years old, says a team of scientists who have studied the site.
The forest appears to be a wholly unique relic of our planet's past, the only known site where a coastal ice age forest this old has been preserved in place, with thousands of trees still rooted in the dirt they were growing millennia ago. It is considered a treasure trove of information, providing new insights into everything from climate in the region to annual rainfall, insect populations, and the types of plants that inhabited the Gulf Coast before humans arrived in the new world. Scientific analysis of the site is ongoing. One of the key things the forest might hint at is a world where the seas rose even more quickly than the worst-case predictions for the near future.
This proves that activities of men has ZERO NADA NO contribution of the changes of earths climate.

The coastline has been 1,000 miles further inland than it is now.
They find marine fossils in the Dakotas.
We live in a snapshot of time. There is nothing special about where sea level currently is.

Let me introduce you to a word called subsidence.
Go do your homework and come back.

Nope that’s subsidence from not getting the sediment naturally deposited by the ms river since the corp of engineers tamed it and force it to dump all of its land building potential off the continental shelf. No fresh water and the marsh grass dies out and washes away. The land loss in south la is the direct result of altering a natural estuary

The freaking weather channel exposed their religion. Gore said we would be dead years ago.
Putting in failed green energy and ocean windmills does nothing but get them rich.
Ask the Obama's about their beach homes.

We do not disagree on this subject.
However, this logic is faulty. Just because sea levels were much lower (and higher) does not prove man has no impact on the climate. It does however, provides some much needed context.

The land that Burwood and Pilottown was on is still there. They were both wiped out by hurricanes. The land may not be as high or as stable as it once was but it is still there and could sustain a town if people wanted to build.
Like others have said, land down there is always sinking. It takes a steady yearly supply of sediment (yearly flooding of the river) to prevent it from turning into sludge.
